Pros: The house has everything we need! The host even prepared ice cubes and a bottle of milk for us. The house is very clean and tidy and spacious with three bedrooms available to sleep 6. It has all the amenities including dishwasher tablets, all cleaning stuff as well as all kitchen stuff. The host even had drawing books for kids. It is so comfortable sitting in the living room area enjoying the balcony view of a large grassland. Cons: Check-in instruction is not exactly clear that where to park would be the closest to our house. There’s some distance between the car park and the house, so it was not very convenient if it’s raining or if you have babies with you. The door and floor are creaking, sound proof between rooms is a bit poor. The bathrooms could be better if there are some hooks at the back of the door for hanging towels and clothes.

Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen (everything you could possibly need). It was like a home from home. The only slight negative was that the beds were very soft, but that's just personal preference. Whitbarrow village itself was very well maintained with a lovely bar/restaurant area. We would definitely return.

Really fab. Great place to stay. Clean, warm and very well equipped. Nice touches - the owner left biscuits, chocolates and a personal Christmas card. Recommended However, the property was badly let down by the agent - Sykes who provided poor service. The booking contract was with Hotels but I had to add an account with Sykes who then asked for an additional £13 for the basic booking. I had to spend some time talking and emailing to Sykes / Hotels to get it sorted. Poor set-up by Sykes with their 3rd party sales agent. I’ll be going out of my way to avoid Sykes
