The property itself was modern with bedrooms downstairs, living area and kitchen on the first floor and a seating area on the roof. The agent was friendly meeting us explaining the lockbox etc On the first day of our holiday we were asked if it was ok for the agents to show people around as the building was for sale. This was not a problem. Unfortunately we were surprised by an additional bill a tourist/resort charge which arose after booking therefore it was a surprise to us and Expedia did try to do something to help but we ended up paying this charge. There was easy access to the beach across the road opposite Juma’s. People at Juma’s were very nice. The villa is in walking distance of Lone Star too. An earlier review alerted us to the noise of neighbouring chickens and dogs. We used the villa as a base to explore the island. We had a nice time in Barbados. It is beautiful and lovely being in St James close to gorgeous beaches.

Spacious villa with a well appointed kitchen. The rooftop pool was a great way to end a day exploring the island. Head to Rico’s for daily beach chair rental, just a little further than Juma’s. The nearby beach is a real highlight, as was dinner at the Lonestar.

The villa itself is wonderful clean and new. The location it’s in leaves a bit to be desired. Not in Holetown - actually quite a trip to get to shops etc.

Very convenient, clean , comfortable every utensil you could ask for .. communication was easy and reliable.. blinds in the long window to block out neighbours and rubber runners on the steps up to the roof terrace would be my only suggestion but really great value for money and I would recommend to friends with older children but not small children because of the stairs .. but really can’t fault it wonderful stay overall

**"Welcome to Paradise... Well, Sort Of"** If you're looking for a *unique* stay in Barbados, look no further than "Paradise in the Ghetto"! Nothing says "relaxation" quite like being jolted awake by a symphony of barking dogs at the crack of dawn. It's like having a personal alarm clock — that also occasionally barks through the night. As for the ambiance? Imagine staying right next to the set of *Sanford and Son* — a charming junkyard aesthetic that adds to the local flair. Who needs ocean views when you can admire rusty bicycles on the neighbor’s roof. The villa itself? A real treasure trove of surprises. The distinct aroma of "dog feces chic" is the first thing that greets you upon entering — a scent so powerful. And if you're looking for a little adventure, try taking a shower! You’ll enjoy clogged drains with a delightful combo of hair and the occasional worm. In conclusion, "Paradise in the Ghetto" offers a truly unforgettable experience — because trust me, you'll be talking about it for years (mostly to your therapist). Bon voyage! 👋

Overall, the property was nice. I would highly recommend tinting the windows seeing as though the locals who live next door can see right into the living space.

The villa was super easy to drive to from the airport. Nicole, the host was super responsive and attentive. The villa was exactly like the pictures and had everything we could need for our trip. There’s parking on the premises which made leaving and coming back super convenient during the day and night. Would highly recommend this property.

A great place to stay. The villa was a comfortable residence with good facilities and features. Set in a location a couple of minutes drive away from Holetown by vehicle but close to dining and a 5 minute walk to the beach next to Juma's Restaurant, it is perfectly positioned for trips up to the Gullies, all the western beaches and journeys the quieter north. The villa's plunge pool, roof top terrace and ice maker is an added bonus and made for astounding views of the Barbados sunset. If you are visiting with a child or two children the size of the villas is more than adequate and is fully stocked with kitchen items, utensils etc, should one wish to cook. Nicole, Natasha and the concierge team were always willing to help with any villas issues and of course, the printing of boarding passes for the inevitable return to England. I would definitely recommend a stay at this villas for anyone seeking to relax away from the usual 4/5 star hustle and bustle of the local hotels, which at end of season are only too willing to allow day visitors to enjoy dining out and the use of their own facilities.

It was very comfortable and because we were traveling in a large group we didn’t miss the facilities of a large resort. The villas were very comfortable and spacious and well appointed for all our needs. However wish that body wash/soap, shampoo and lotion were provided as didn’t expect that would have to hit the stores immediately for the basics.

This is a wonderful property. Peaceful, very clean and modern. The staff is very kind and responsive. I felt very well taken care of. Beach is practically across the street. Many buses run right on the street so you can easily get to many places. Excellent restaurants very close by, two blocks or so. Highly recommend! Great for remote work as well. Own plunge pool a big perk. Has many cooking utensils, blender, toaster, washer/dryer too. Beautiful area.

Nicole was amazing! She was so accommodating and even gave us a ride into town during our stay. The house was beautiful and clean! It’s a new property so not many taxis know the exact location but the restaurant “LoneStar” is only a 5 minute walk.

The kitchen is well equipped except for only one frying pan. The roof terrace is very nice, has a fridge, large dining table and two sunbeds. The villa (it's not really a villa but more of a townhouse since you share walls with a neighbor) we stayed in (Garden Grove nr 3) had a nice small pool on the ground floor, NOT on the roof terrace as shown in the images. It's a bit unclear what you are actually booking through hotels.com. The 3 bedrooms on the second floor had comfortable beds and lots of hangers and closet space. The two baths had live showers. There is also one more toilet downstairs. In the info I received via hotels.com it said I'd be getting a message/e-mail from the property 72h before check-in, but this never came. I called them and the lady I spoke to seem oblivious to this. We agreed I would call again on arrival. We were met by the housekeeper who let us in. I recommend using WhatsApp to call and message them (use the number provided by hotels.com) since this is much cheaper than regular calls/SMS. Housekeeping is twice weekly. We only asked for some new towels and some tabs for the dishwasher, as the lady didn't show up until late in the afternoon instead of during the day when we were out so didn't want her cleaning while we were cooking and showering etc. She seemed happy to not have to do anything. All in all I think this place is probably good value for money and good for a party of 4-6 people (sleeping 2+2+2).
