Clean, simple room in great location. Room was very modern and pretty. Comfortable bed. Great value for this location!

Our room was nice and the hotel was in the heart of Old Montreal. For those not used to "virtual hotels" (as we were), you need to accept that arriving early isn't as seemless as it is in major hotels. That said, the host did their best and we were given entry as soon as our room had been cleaned. The room itself was comfortable with a decent bathroom.

The hotel was in a fantastic location accessible to all eateries and shops. The parking offered was very close to the property (less than a 2-minute walk). Communication was so easy and the management was so attentive.

If you're visiting Montreal for the first time, this hotel is a great pick! It is located in Old Montreal, literally a step away from the cobblestone streets. Everything is near including restaurants/cafes, tourist attractions and shops. We rented the standard room good for two people and we love it! It is decent enough for a comfortable stay. It is well maintained, the room is clean and there is a regular housekeeping. Water, towels, hair dryer, shampoo/bodywash, water and coffee is included in our stay. The host is 100% friendly and accommodating! Quick to response to our requests. You can also leave your luggage if you've arrived earlier than check in time. Staffs/housekeeper are all friendly and respectful as well. Over all we love our experience and we will definitely stay again in The Bowery Loft when we come back and visit Montreal.

Bathroom was definitely not deep cleaned before our arrival. The windows definitely haven’t been cleaned in a while, which was disappointing as it’s a nice people watching view of the street. There was some weirdness with cleaning staff just entering our room when we first got there. We were unpacking, etc.. & twice a cleaning staff just keyed the room & walked in. & then later on knocked to stock the fridge which we declined. All the check in info was great! The parking spot was easy to find & very helpful to have. It’s. Great location close to everything!

Great location in Old Montreal. Convenient to just about everything.

Wonderful stay

le logement était propre et bien comme la description mais très bruyant, après nous sommes en pleins Montreal et dans le vieux port donc c'était évident. Le frigidaire par contre a rendu la nuit impossible ! vraiment trop de bruit. tres bien localisé pour les touristes, et facile d'accès pour aller a la chambre. par contre ca n'est pas un hôtel mais plutôt un appartement hôtel ce qui n'est pas dérangeant

Not a typical hotel, but I had a good experience considering the attractively low pricepoint. The most important thing to know is that there is no front desk or readily available staff. You receive a key code number to get in the front door, elevator, and your room. I had difficulty because I arrived early and wanted to leave my luggage in storage. It took a full half hour to finally get someone to meet me. The room itself was okay. Fairly large and recently renovated. Reasonably clean, but I did find hairs everywhere and old squished bugs stuck to the ceiling. Coffee machine was a nice touch but there was not housekeeping every day to replenish pods. Refrigerator came in handy. Two things seriously annoyed me. 1) The shower has no door or curtain. It was impossible to have a shower without making a huge mess. 2) There was only one usable electrical outlet. If you want to charge your phone or laptop, be prepared to crawl around on the floor to switch plugs around.

The location is amazing, the room is very comfortable and clean, I would stay there again on my next trip to Montreal

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique, self-serve hotel in Old Montreal. It was convenient for exploring all the sights that the district has to offer, including Old Port. We appreciated the clean room and easy check-in. Our only suggestions are that there weren’t enough power outlets and that water from the shower spills over onto the ground. Also although our room faced the courtyard, guests should be aware that anyone, including tour groups, can enter it. Overall we would stay again.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, close to many attractions and restaurants. There is no check in desk all interactions are through email and phone calls. Room was very nice and clean, comfortable bed. We did not care much for the glass door to the bathroom that does not give much privacy, and we had some trouble at first getting into the room that was reasonably quickly resolved. Public parking is available right behind the building,but keep in mind that prices you find on the Internet are outdated - we paid $US42 per night.

The room was quite nice, and the location is great. But, I sent several simple questions to the hotel- there are no staff on site- and never heard back in any way, either via email or the direct hotels.com messaging. This became a serious issue when I had issues with the lock on my door, which worked sometimes and not others. I stood outside my door with a dead phone at 11pm and entered the code identically 16 times before it worked. Way too stressful, not worth it. If you're not going to have staff, you MUST be responsive by text!!

Fantastic location with contactless check-in (took me a few tries with the elevator code but otherwise no problem); great communication with host to arrange last-minute baggage storage and cab; immaculately clean and quiet room - would definitely stay here again!

Excellent facility

Property itself was generally good, clean, but, quite a bit of noise from the restaurant below if you were staying on the lower 2 floors. Biggest hassle was that there are no people on site when checking in. You’re given an access code to get into your room. One of ours didn’t work and didn’t get the other. Called and they responded right away but one code never worked properly, and we weren’t alone, one other guest had the same issue. Location was great, walking distance to everything

Be prepared with your access code when you arrive! There is no staff onsite, not even a lobby. You oddly go to the back of a restaurant to access the elevator to your room. If you do not have your access code ready, you will be battling through your email and apps to find it while awkwardly standing with your bags in a restaurant--or on the sidewalk if the restaurant is closed. Also--the room is trying to be modern, but honestly, a shower door or curtain serves a purpose. There was only a tiny glass piece closing the shower in. There is no way to not get water on the floor, as was evidenced by the water stains on the floor in the hallway outside the room. More importantly, the polished tile on the floor of the shower meant that it was incredibly slippery when wet. I put a towel on the shower floor to avoid wiping out. In short, this shower was meant for a picture, not for humans washing. Also, the furnishings are minimal--there was a bench but no chair with a back to sit in. Another nod to pretty pictures and not actual use. Otherwise, the place was nice and a good location.
