We highly recommend this property. It was very clean, had excellent breakfast offerings (full Scottish - with haggis! - and additional continental options), and is walking distance to the city center and old town. We felt the price was very reasonable given its location and amenities.

Great property and good location. Close to city centre and walkable distance. Very spacious room with the facility for kitchenette and cutlery which was quite convenient. Budget wise it was definitely worth it.

Stayed one night at Sandman. The hotel has it's own charm, as there is quite a lot of concrete and LED lighting. The double bedroom was quite small, and there were 3 small horizontal window panes which didn't open, or let much light in. There was no view in this room. The room was very hot and stuffy. When I arrived the temporary freestanding air conditioning unit was blasting very loud, and the fan was also on. Yes it was hot outside, but it was quite unhealthy. As the A/C unit had to be topped up with water, the carpet around the unit was already quite wet with condensation. For the TV, there was a good selection of channels, but I was unable to change the volume - I couldn't hear anything over the A/C unit. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Decent sized ensuite, but the bath towels felt damp when I picked them up, and the shower basin leaked onto the floor. I pre-paid breakfast the night before to save £3. Staff were all friendly, and breakfast was good.

Parking is a bit of a pain. Blue badge spaces taken by non blue badge holders, however the council owned pay & display on street spaces at the side of the hotel are free for those displaying a blue badge.

Shower was very slippery.I fell 3 times.No safety bar to hold onto.We were told afterwards that we had to special order a bath mat as there is a lot of theft in the area.

Very nice hotel and perfectly located within walking distance to the city centre and Kelvingrove Park. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with plenty storage and the microwave and a mini fridge was a plus. There were just a few small stains in the carpet, but overall the room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, with a choice of soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was very clean and ample. The pressure in the shower was fair. There were two choices of shampoo but no body wash or hair conditioner, but that was just a very minor inconvenience. Unfortunately, we had very noisy neighbours on our second night, constantly banging the doors from approximately 22:00. I politely asked the guests to hold the doors when closing them to no avail. The staff tried to sort it out, but the door banging continued till nearly midnight. The doors are heavy and will bang if they are not held to shut. I can only suggest a note in big font is put on the doors, politely asking guests to be courteous, and hold the doors when closing them.
