Great staff, was really good with my dad. Upgraded me for free. Very convenient for all activities in Cardiff!

Lovely clean hotel with very comfortable room. Let down by lack of parking and incredibly expensive charge for breakfast.

Had a great stay at Park Plaza, very relaxed, very quiet. We ate in the restaurant, food was delicious and service was friendly.

Check in greeting was poor. Rooms were not correctly allocated as booked. Key cards did not work - no apology.

The location of the hotel was good and overall the experience was fine, but I had a major issue with the air conditioning in my room. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, and despite raising it with reception, no one ever came to check it or offered me an alternative room. This meant I was stuck in an uncomfortably hot room throughout my stay, which made it difficult to relax or sleep properly. What I found most disappointing was that, when I raised the issue again in the morning, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the problem. A bit of care and accountability from the staff would have made a big difference. The hotel itself is decent, but the lack of follow-up and customer service around such a basic issue really let it down.

Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely outside area overlooking a river. There was a bbq which was delicious. Bed was comfortable and towels were soft and good quality. Only issue was the taps in bathroom no markings on sink to say hot or cold and when we run the bath the cold water was so slow.

We had 2 rooms, both nice enough but 1 room had broken air conditioning and that was not repaired during our stay. Biggest gripe was the swimming pool was out of service and that is the main reason we booked that hotel.

Liked having a fridge. Excellent breakfast choice, better than most hotels these days (sadly).Being given the quiet room requested. Adequate coffee making facility. The only negatives were the awful design of the taps for the bath, shower and wash-basin. Also the extortionate, unfriendly and time consuming car parking. That alone would stop me staying again.

Disappointed, as specifically rang hotel a few days before booking to check if there was any extra charge for spa facility, and was told no extra. So i booked a girlie weekend for my daughter & myself as a treat. Only to find on arrival, spa & pool closed for upgrade. Why was this not relayed during my phone call specifically asking about these facilities? Receptionist quite blasè about situation. Was told you can use the facilities at the Hilton hotel at the end of the street. If i'd known this I would have booked hotel with an onsite spa instead. Not ideal having to walk down the street to use a spa, when you expect it onsite.

Tired hotel needs some update. Plus smell of cigarette was imminent. However the staff and cleanliness you cannot fault.

I had left a pair of trousers in my room and only realised when I got home. I spoke to Beth on reception and they arranged postage and returned them back to me. Excellent service!

We got a great welcome on arrival. Staff were really helpful. The pool is very nice in particular with the outside deck area. The dining room is also lovely with super accommodating staff - we felt very welcome with all of our children. The food was great especially the fish and chips.

Good hotel in a good location, pool and gym very nice. Could hear music from the clubs opposite so would pick the tree lined room next time. Great breakfast for coeliacs (separate toaster), but cheaper to pay at hotel rather than in advance.

Always my choice of hotel to stay in Cardiff but not as good as previous visits , lots of noise from outside entertainment from Castle to Stadium and night clubs

Disappointing. Room was spacious but tired, dusty and there was mould in the bathroom. Air conditioning wasn't working so the room was hot and uncomfortable. They provided a fan instead when we complained, which didn't really help. Have previously stayed in various Park Plazas elsewhere so expected a similar standard.
