The staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel with beautiful bathroom. Great view. Helpful staff. My only complaint about the room is that we had two beds and one bedside table and lamp. Walking distance to the shopping complex and to the Esplanade. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops.

The Benson was conveniently located near many of the attractions in downtown Cairns. The property is recently renovated and the condition of our room was great. Would recommend this hotel!

We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast included was very average same food each day and variety was very simple and the staff were very sad. We attended the cocktail half price on Friday evening and was not offered the free canapés. The bar Manger was a complete smart ass and locked us on the balcony on our last day. Place was overall nice and central to cairns only a 8 min walk to the esplanade.

There was nothing unique about the property. It was clean & central & the car park was a plus. However we had a great big air conditioner outlet outside of our room which could be heard at all hours. That really spoilt our stay.

Good service the location is close to everything Shopping Centre, Bank, Esplanade, Casino, Ferry, Bus, cost was reasonable for Cairns, nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Cairns. Clean, cosy, delicious food (Eugene the Chief is amazing). Everything is around the corner. Wish no better for a good vocation.

All was good just the shower recess needs more scrubbing.

Central location and we got it for a good price. Room was comfortable and in good condition. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes we got shower gel/ toilet roll/coffee sometimes we didn’t. It was quickly rectified when we spoke to staff. Pool area was very clean but not the most appealing pool area I gave ever seen. The bar appears to only be open on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy hour on both of these evenings with live music and free finger food on Friday evening. I would definitely stay there again for the right price.

We stayed for 1 night, ( flight layover) the hotel is a nice boutique style hotel but it has some issues, $100 breakage deposit, a bit steep considering it may take 30 days to refund same. Only one lift was working and the keycard was iffy too. Bottle of water in room was a nice touch until I spotted the $2 charge. Breakfast was nice but could add some cheese and yoghurts. Room for improvement I feel.
