The 21-hectare Christchurch Botanic Gardens was founded in 1863 with the planting of an English oak tree. Today, it features 10 gardens, such as The Heritage Rose Garden, The Herb Garden, and The Water Garden, to name a few. Hop aboard the all-weather electric shuttle to explore the gardens and see an impressive array of plant collections from Asia, Europe, and South America, among others. Meanwhile, visit its conservatories namely, the Garrick House, Cuningham House, and Townend House.
