Built in 1888, Central Market is located near Petaling Street in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The iconic art deco building houses various stalls selling handicrafts, artworks, batik, snacks, and other Malaysian souvenirs. Visitors can also catch a cultural performance at the market's outdoor stage or visit a contemporary art exhibition at one of the galleries in the Annexe building nearby.
