Milton Park Country House Hotel & Spa

A quite old world estate. Very nice

Great hideaway for relaxing but the prices for food and beverages are over the top. Especially when the place needs a good overhaul and it run down.

This is our 3rd time staying at Milton Park & the restaurant NEVER disappoints. Hats off to the Chef & staff, sublime food. We also loved the bar, ambience & service excellent. The rooms need updating & we were pleased to hear that refurbishment is commencing shortly, much needed. Our check in experience was easy, staff friendly but disappointed that our toilet wasn’t cleaned & we were lacking toilet paper in our room. Rooms are air conditioned but controlled by hotel. Gas wall heater knob crumbled in my hand & leaked. Asked for a bulb to be replaced in bathroom, guy came but then forgot to do it as was also trying to fix faulty TV… Housekeeper fixed TV. Despite all this, we genuinely loved our stay. Horderns Restaurant is 1st class! The grounds of the property are stunning. Looking forward to a return stay, but only when this old beauty is at her best.

Incredibly disappointing. If I’m paying over $500 a room I at least expect the property to be clean. It was not. This was not just a case of a heritage property being tired and dated, it was properly dirty. Chairs in my suite had big stains and tears. Bathroom leaked, was missing grout and was mouldy. Carpet throughout dirty. Accessible bathroom full of spiders. Cockroach poo on walls. Ruined my wedding for myself, my groom and my bridesmaid.

The reception staff were both lovely and very friendly and helpful. The shortbread biscuits provided were delicious and everyone staying in my party loved them. We had a lovely stay and will be back

Beautiful scenery outside

This was our second stay at Milton Park - it is just beautiful. If I had to make a criticism, the lounge in our suite could have been re-stuffed. The place IS a bit tired, but is about to be re-furbished. The staff were lovely, and the meal at Hordern's was absolutely wonderful. A terrific stay, thank you!

A lovely place to stay for a romantic night away. The main restaurant was absolutely amazing!!

Breakfast and the pool were the highlights.

We have loved coming to Milton park for 28 years, but have been witness to its decline in the past 10 years. We did not even bother attending the restaurant after our prev experience, though the breakfasts were still good.

The property is beautiful. Gorgeous grounds. We had the 'Forest' suite, lovely but tired, and the rooms should be refurbished in the same style i.e. romantic and elegant. The new renovations will go along way to improving this beautiful property. Hopefully, the rooms will be in keeping with the history of the homestead, not modern stripes and checks! That would be a shame!

This property does not meet the standards of a 5-star or luxury hotel. The accommodations were unacceptable, with visibly stained furniture, broken chairs, and no air conditioning, resulting in a musty, stagnant atmosphere. The carpets and hallways showed years of abandonment. Describing this hotel as “luxury” or “5-star” is profoundly misleading. While the gardens are well-maintained, they cannot compensate for the unhygienic, outdated, and poorly maintained accommodations. Until substantial renovations are undertaken, this property fails to deliver the quality expected by travelers.
