Really enjoyed staying here. Bathrooms are clean and warm showers. Beds comfy. No complaints

Location is really easy to everywhere and I like reception, security, cleaning.

Great hostel! Don’t have too much experience with hostels but was a good experience all around. Very close to Central Station, made it easy to get around. They clearly did their best to keep it clean and it showed. For location & that alone, would stay again.

Very disappointed in the room basic for what I paidA long way to the shared bathroom. Better to get a shared room which is a much better price. Someone told me there are much more affordable rooms about 2 min walk (well that info was a bit late for this trip). Nothing open for coffee till 8 I was told. So left for the central station without having a hot drink.

Hostel itself is good, they have a lot of activities every night. Many people staying at the hostel were doing group tours which made it a bit difficult to meet people since many already had groups when just solo traveling. Great location, close to the bus stop, stores, and central train.

Basic room and amenities as expected from budget accommodation. Awesome service well above what you would expect from budget accommodation. Clean....... Perfect if you need a cheap bed in the city!!!

I had an excellent stay at Wake Up! Sydney. The hostel was clean, the reception is open 24/7 (a big plus!), and the location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Central Station, with easy access to food, bars, restaurants, and shops. The shared bathrooms were very clean, and there’s also a well-equipped community kitchen where you can cook and store your own food, which is super convenient for budget travelers. However, there’s no parking available, so plan accordingly if you're driving. The only downside was the air conditioning. It’s on full blast all the time, and I found it way too cold. It would be great if they allowed guests to adjust the settings for a more comfortable experience. Overall, it’s a fantastic option, especially for convenience, cleanliness, and amenities, but bring a sweater and plan for alternative parking if needed!

Averge hostel

We have stayed here before and the room was larger, paid extra for ensuite this time and very disappointed. Whole unit was far too small for an ensuite room. No where to put luggage, except for under the bed, so every time you needed something from your suitcase was to retrieve suitcase from under the bed. Bed against one wall and the only way for this person to get up, was to either wake partner to get up, or crawl to end of the bed, especially during the night if using the bathroom. Last stay we were offered a voucher for light meal/breakfast in cafe on ground floor for breakfast, not this time, even though asking if this was possible. There needs to be a ramp to take luggage into the building, only way to enter without climbing entrance stairs, is through the Roy's cafe.

Only there for one night, so effectively used to sleep only. Hostel is really nice with great staff and amenities. Great location across the road from Central.

The room I had on the sixth floor was rather warm and stuffy with limited air flow from the air conditioning. The staff were excellent and the premises very clean and tidy.

Good location, easy transport to and from airport, walking distance from main harbour, Sydney opera house and harbour bridge. Seemed quiet at night time

The hostel is great, lots of people from all over and a very friendly atmosphere. I was able to check in early and considering I had just arrived from London it was super helpful. The beds were clean although when I was on the 7th floor it got very hot at night. The events the hostel runs were fun and were great value for money. However the Side Bar adjacent to the hostel have horrible door men, If you are a black or middle eastern man good luck being allowed in. I was with my group of friends twice in a row "sorry mate not tonight" where as the rest of the group allowed in, considering the second time I didn't even have a drink before due to being weary about the bouncers. When I told him I sober as he claimed I walked past him, so did the rest of the group?

Proximity to Central Railway Station, in between 2 full days of train travel.
