What Guests Say About Their Stay

It was such a pleasant stay - a little off the beaten path so a vehicle is a good idea. The beach isn't for anyone that's a poor swimmer, but it's lovely, and easy to fall asleep to the waves at night! Would stay here again, the staff were wonderful, everything was clean and well kept. Thank you!

The deluxe villa itself is great (except it gets flooded almost every day - more below). The management is the worst, and potentially (intentionally or not) is fraudulent. While Hotels.com explicitly says that the price you see is the price you pay, the management CHARGES EXTRA 4% credit card payment fee! They hid it within the cancelation policy. But the booking is non-refundable, so a normal customer is not going to read the cancelation policy because the customer knows it is non-refundable. Another issue is that during our stay there were heavy showers almost every day/night, and the villa is built in such way that it gets flooded. Even if you close the shutters, it still gets flooded (to a lesser extent). But they didn't even tell us this until the problem occurred. Only then they decided to play a General Sense by pronouncing "if you don't close shutters it gets flooded". Where were you AT THE CHECK-IN with the pre-emptive advice? Yet another issue: the deluxe villa was only cleaned ONCE. We were the ONLY guests for an entire week, the policy says they clean every 3 days, but it was only cleaned once on the 3rd day. That's it. Pros: there is a shared grill. Be aware that you do need a car to get to decent beaches and stores etc.

Very quiet property, away from the busy town. 1/4 mile from a local bus stop that takes you to the town. The local beach is okay, a bit rocky but the ambiance and sound during the night is very peaceful. The staff was helpful at check-in. After that there was hardly anyone around. Tried to contact through WhatsApp but no response. Needed more towels but nobody was around. If you plan on staying at this property, ask for additional towels beforehand and be prepared to walk uphill for the bus stop. 4/5 ⭐️

Property is fairly remote, need to take a bus pretty much everywhere. Downstairs apartments feel moldy. Staff super friendly and management very responsive trying to accommodate all guests needs. This is a perfect place for the surfers or person writing a book but not so good for people wanting to be on beach or go out in evenings.

The view is all it has going for it. The owner is mean and not welcoming at all and stays on the property. We had no privacy because the staff would just come into our place without knocking and because there is no air condition we had to leave the windows open and the ground keeper would always be looking into the windows. I do not recall the site saying there was no air condition on this property so this was a bit uncomfortable for us. Again because the windows had to stay open and there are no screens we got bit up by mosquitoes, roaches were in the kitchen, and a stray cat would come inside. This place is not worth the money!

Lovely place to stay, away from the busy-ness of the main strip, but only a 10minute drive to Oistins. The gardens are beautifully maintained, always somewhere comfortable to find the sun or shade. The villas themselves are extremely well kept and clean, very comfortable beds. Prudance and Ginger can't do enough to help you if needed. As a bonus there is a nice little reef-break out the front to have a surf on...nothing too extreme, but generally you'll have it to yourself so can pick and choose your waves...great for kitesurfing as well.

Lovely property on the south coast of Barbados. The unit I stayed in was very nice and comfortable. The staff at Inchcape were great from the manager Prudence to the housekeeping staff especially Ginger and the taxi service Rodney. They were always pleasant and did whatever they could to make my stay enjoyable. I did not meet the owners even though they were on site for several days of my stay. The view of the sea from the property was beautiful, however the abandoned hotel directly next door unfortunately is an eyesore.

Put it this way there wasnt anything i didnt like about my stay at Inchcape! They are beautiful Villas situated on the southern tip of the Island of Barbados. You wake up to the sound of the ocean and rest your head at night to the same. There are beautiful flowers and palm trees everywhere! You here the sound of roosters in the background and if your fortuntate enough you will see wild monkeys in and out of bushes and trees. You can relax on your own personal deck or sit and enjoy the courtyards! The kitchens are fully equipped for making meals. There is also beautiful art work throughout the villas. If you want to enjoy a day at your own personal beach its right there for you to do that. The staff is lovely! Very friendly and always there to help you with really anything. I honestly cant say enough about my stay at Inchcape and the Island of Barbados! It was the most wonderful experience of my life, Barbados is a very spiritual place. Thankyou to Prudence and Ginger and Shamara and all of the staff. I cannot wait to visit again! Thankyou so much!

Quiet, peaceful, a gem. Wolfgang and Prudance were so helpful coordinating our vacation in regular communication to coordinate a car, airport transfer and any general about Barbados questions we had to make our stay more enjoyable. The staff are attentive and discreet. The property grounds are lovingly maintained. You can chose the rest on day beds, take a dip and rinse off or eat outside in the privacy of your unit. We stayed in the Garden unit and were thoroughly impressed. The bed was comfortable and the linens were lovely. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated and elegant. The kitchen was well appointed and we ate in often. We decided to hire a car which was necessary to get groceries, buy fish, see other beaches and tour the island. We didn't attempt to navigate the bus/taxi options but people are so friendly and willing to help so we might try next time. Kite-surfers, Sailboarders and Surf boarders are blessed with prime conditions for the sport here, steps away from Inchcape (and beautiful to watch from the beach) Swimming here is tricky but cooling off and jumping in the waves possible. Our goal was to rest and enjoy the island. Mission accomplished! We will definitely return to Inchcape and bring our adult children.

I had to book another hotel when I got there. I wish I read carefully other reviews in regards to the coconut cottage. It was at the back - not near the front of the ocean. There's no a/c. There's no screen for mosquitoes. And there were many mosquitoes. In one hour I was bitten 10 times on my body. They offer candles and other stuff but those do not work for me. The area is located in a secluded area at night I am reminded to lock the gate. As a solo female- I felt unsafe. Unfortunately I did not get a refund on cleaning fee and cancellation.

This place is close to heaven on earth. For us this place was magnificent. We could choose to be close to other people by taking the bus into either Oistins or Bridgetown OR you could choose to be private. Even though the beach was public, it nearly felt like a private beach as there was only a few guests at the property. The landlord Wolfgang and his wife was friendly and welcoming, giving good advice on where to go and what to see. They live at the property. And the Manager, Sharice was simply awesome. A big help for what ever question we had, - restaurants, transportation, car rental, places to see ... even also after we left the property. The appartment was wonderful - equipped with all needed things to have a good stay - no matter if you cook or just do easy living. Clean, spacy and welcoming. Outdoor room was big, clean and easy to use and model. One thing to notice : Chicken Rita is close by - but unfortunately we did not experience her food as she decided not to cook the night we wanted to go. The other restaurant close by was under renovation - so it ended out with getting dinner delivered. An other learning : rent a car ! it makes everything easier and it is not a problem driving in the left hand side for us normally driving in right hand side.
