The hotel is good if you have a car.

The hotel was very nice clean and tidy but was not taken by its location. very industrial

If this hotel could be moved closer to the town centre then it would be 5 star. Unfortunately the road into town, which cuts through an industrial area, does not have a footpath and you have to walk in the road, ok in daylight but very unsafe at night. That is the only fault we found with this hotel, yes, we understand it’s not there fault but?????

Calm and peaceful stay at this hotel

Comfortable , warm , clean on industrial estate but no food on Sunday and difficult to locate on car satnav. TV didn’t work . Good breakfast .

Great hotel, brilliant location just over a mile from the town centre. Very friendly staff and good food.

Really enjoyed my stay here, a long weekend break on my motorcycle to attend the armistice commemorations in Ypres and visit sites around the area. From arrival the staff were great, finding somewhere secure to park my motorbike and dealing with a failed remote on the tv. Room was large and basic with nowhere to put clothes away, but plenty of space to put them on the spare beds. It is a decent walk into town (about 20 minutes) and that was fine for me. Not many amenities around the hotel, but it has a great bar and restaurant on site. Breakfast was a mix of cold and hot buffet and well worth the cost. All things considered I would recommend the Flanders Lodge to anyone wanting decent accommodation with off street parking close to Ypres but not in the centre.

A short drive from the centre of Ypres with free parking. Nice breakfast included in the price .

Mixed opinion - a wonderful breakfast buffet. Room was basic, clean and adequate. Heat worked nicely. Arrived at 2:05 to check in (late October, far from peak) - first time we’ve encountered a cold, abrupt “no check-in until 3, rooms not ready”. He didn’t check. He was not helpful in directing us where to get a meal on Sunday. Thee guy who checked us in late was all business and addressed questions directly. One issue - we booked on Expedia this location in part as the picture of hotel indicated it was a Best Western affiliate - it is no longer. The picture needs updating.

The hotel was very comfortable and the amenities were great. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the free on site parking as I found parking to be an otherwise confusing matter in the town of Ypres.

Breakfast was amazing and the bed was nice to sleep in.

The hotel was only a short drive to the centre of Arras , parking can be difficult but if able to walk short distances not a problem Hotel reception i thought was rather abrupt and could improve customer service standards . Restaurant visit was okay , possibly a bit overpriced vased on portion size , dont purchase water for your room from the bar , one nornal sized bottle was nearly £9 , extortionate price . Used the bar both evenings , prices okay for a hotel but again service very abrupt . Room was clean and comfortable and beds average in terms if comfort

Food was very good

On arrival at the hotel we squeezed into the very last parking space which we were grateful to get as there is no where else to park as far as we could tell. Although very basic, our room was nice and clean. We had understood the included breakfast would be a lot better than we received, but it was adequate. It is well positioned for a short drive into the centre of Ypres even though based in an industrial area of the town. The Flanders Lodge hotel was fine for an overnight stay, but I am glad we had not booked longer.

Check out at noon, but cleaners woke me up at 10 and 11...

Positives - Walking distance to Ypres, with free parking, best breakfast on our trip Negatives - popular with coach parties, in this instance 2 coaches of children, so quite noisy, they did go quiet around 10.30pm but we're being woken up from 7am onwards. Other than that no negatives with the accommodation.

Our first impressions weren’t great. The rather grumpy bloke on reception insisted we weren’t booked. However, after we insisted we were he eventually found us. The hotel is a bit like a hostel with big groups booked in. Our first night was disturbed by a party of school kids running amok until midnight. No teachers in sight. The second night was the best nights sleep I ever had with a much more well behaved school party on site. The bedroom was spotless and bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and shower amazing. Breakfast had a great choice of hot and cold and was constantly being refreshed. Bar was reasonable and a relaxing space. The hotel was attractive and clean and great for a couple of nights. We would definitely stay again. Just be aware that the annex is more like a youth hostel with coach loads of kids. I suppose it depends on school staff whether they behave or not! We drove into Ypres and parked for free near the Menin Gate. Very easy.

Lovely quiet location on the edge of town. Friendly welcome on arrival and in the bar. Good selection of beers available. Room layout felt a little bit strange and dark, but it was OK. Great shower. Window had no security unless it was completely shut, so I had to sleep with window shut as I was on the ground floor. Fantastic breakfast
