This hotel boasts probably the largest gym I have ever seen in a hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the hotel was clean. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Kitchener.

The staff at the front desk made check-in quick and easy. The building itself was easy to find, and the area around the hotel was clean and quiet. Our room was very clean, everything worked as it should. The restaurant staff were phenomenal and the food was delicious (both dinner and breakfast). One thing that you should know about this hotel is that there is an arcade and a bowling alley in the basement! It's not listed on their website; it only says "kids activities". I guess that's what they meant. We had a blast! The only downsides were that the toilet plugged up before we could even use it, and the phone in our room only worked when using speakerphone. The handset didn't work when I picked it up. But both issues were promptly fixed as soon as I told staff at the front desk. Final thing I'd like to mention: the smell of chlorine from the pool is a little overwhelming. If scents don't bother you, then you'll be fine. But if you're sensitive to stuff like that, this will be an issue. I could smell the pool as soon as I walked into the hotel, and still up on the 3rd floor where we stayed. It might not be so bad on the upper floors, but it's really strong in the lobby. Just something to keep in mind.

Staff was great, food was great the only complaint is paying to park at a hotel you're paying to stay at and 12 bucks a night to boot. But a great old hotel.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon to attend a wedding. Just dropped off our bags and then left - did not arrive back at the hotel until around 1 am. When we first checked in, we noticed that the carpet outside our room door was wet but really didn’t think much of it. The next morning, after going to the bathroom, our toilet flooded - to put it delicately, we did not do anything to clog the toilet… the water went all over the floor to the front door and closet. We had to call maintenance to stop the water. Clearly there was issues with the plumbing before due to the wet carpet. Maintenance was not very nice and argumentative with us. We ended up leaving without being able to have a shower. Upon checking out, I told the front desk that we were not happy and was accused of causing the clog - which we did not. She just ignored me and stated that maintenance came and fixed the problem - then proceeded to give me the invoice. We left the hotel unshowered and disappointed that we ever booked this hotel. Will never stay there again!

Lobby was lovely, but rooms were old. Windows in room great but dirty-assuming window washing hasnt happened yet? Parking is a nightmare. Not enough room to park for check-in and have a long walk to get to your vehicle in underground parking. Also not told by Expedia there would be another charge of $12 for parking on top of the fees for room! Would have expected something nicer for what we paid.

For my stay I arrived at 9:30 on Friday and my wife was to come the following day. I had made arrangements to ensure she could have a key card and parking pass as it’s $12 per night. When she gets there she get denied the key and parking pass stating it was given. Eventually was giving but was done wrong and both parking passes were for the same vehicle she caused many issues arriving and leaving. Did not overally enjoy the stay and felt a lack of professionalism as well. Don’t charge money for parking when it can be done right and I’m waiting to get in or out. This was not an enjoyable stay. Room as well did not have a functioning heater and there was told free breakfast but advised incorrrct and was $20 per person for Buffett will not stay here again. Very unorganized

The staff were excellent. The rooms were not. They were outdated and the walls were paper thin. There was something on our carpet that was either blood or burns (pictures attached).

The hotel is very clean and staff were attentive. I would just say, the hotel is dated and could use a refresh. Rooms are dark. I only ate dinner one night, as I was on a conference. Food is excellent, but overpriced. I heard the spa is very good. Gym is big, and spacious - plenty of equipmemt.

The customer service was about the only good thing with this property. Checking in I was asked for my email and since then my inbox has been initiated. I had to increase the heat in the room to 81 degrees just to take the chill off . Parking is unsafe .

The room we stayed in (# 660) was clean and comfortable. Staff were always courteous and friendly. The buffet breakfast in the morning was probably the best I've ever had at a hotel. The egg station was a nice touch that my wife took advantage of. Well done. Not accustomed to having to pay for parking at a hotel so I wasn't too happy about that. Nor is the location of the parking facility ideal for Hotel guests. Next time I stay at the Hotel I'll know to drop off my bags first then go park the car. I suggest you put something on your Website that speaks to that and to clearly show (in a picture or video) where the entrance is on Benton street. I had to call the Hotel to find out if it was self-park or valet parking and if it was self-park WHERE DO YOU PARK?.

The hotel is nice and the overall experience was pretty good. What can be improved is the checkout process. I was in Kitchener for my son’s volleyball tournament. Probably the majority of the hotel guests were coaches, athletes and families. Last day of our stay we had to checkout early

Old property needs to be upgraded. The bathroom very very small, no separate shower, just a bathtub with a shower head which makes it not easy to get in and out for senior people. Never ending narrow ugly corridors. Poor signs to find elevators. Parking uncomfortable, along walk when busy. Only good point is a very good buffet breakfast with excellent service.

I liked the recreation facilties in the basement. I found our room a bit dirty - glass in bathroom was not clean, rug in main room looked dirty, mini fridge kept freezing our food. Linenes and towels were good quality

The room felt a bit dirty. The rug in the main part of the room needs cleaning. Beds a bit too soft but bedding and towels seemed good quality
