GLOBALSTAY. Elegant Downtown Apartments

A great place to stay in Toronto. A very clean apartment with all of the required amenities for a comfortable stay. The views from the apartment towards to BMO Stadium and beyond is brilliant and has the added bonus of stunning sundowns. Downtown is walkable and also have a tram stop just a 2 minute walk if that’s preferred. Will definitely be returning if I stay in Toronto again… I didn’t want to leave!

Great view for plane spotting

The condo is close to everything downtown, so that’s convenient, but it’s furnished with very cheap furniture eg. curtains flimsy and don’t close properly, outlet in bathroom non functional. There was hair on the floor and a glass of water left in the bathroom by the previous tenants, pillows smelled bad, so cleanliness is not the best. They had way too many rules (constantly hounding you for a picture of your drivers license and then a picture of you holding the license, asking for a $200 deposit when none of this was made known ahead of time. I texted them at 1am inquiring about the parking situation, they sent me an invoice within 10 mins but when I had an issue with the outlet not working in the bathroom, it took hours to get back to me even though the message was marked as read, even so nothing was done about it. Owner’s are very focused on money as oppose to your comfort. Their rules contain clauses threatening to keep your deposit if you are late checking out, damage to the property (this is I can understand) but they keep your deposit for excessive noise as well, luckily we are quiet and not the partying type. Parking garage is not marked properly and very confusing as they don’t mention that the tenant parking lots are through gates to your right as oppose to the left. The instructions provided mention placing the key fob up against the sensor to activate the elevator, however you actually have to push the button on the key fob and aiming it from a distance….

Host was very responsive! Once we figured the parking out, we really enjoyed the property. It is centrally located in downtown Toronto, very clean and reasonably priced!

Communication was very good. They responded fast and were very helpful. Room was safe and still within walking distance of the airport and downtown.

I rented a room on the penthouse floor and it was fantastic. The views of the city were excellent. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfy. The location was within walking distance of the stadiums and restaurants and shopping. Would stay here again

Perfect for short term stay. View is great

This property is absolutely outstanding. We couldn't believe how nice the apartment was. Nice quality appliances and beautifully decorated - not to mention the VIEW!! We were on the top floor and had the most incredible view you could ever ask for. They even allowed us an 2 PM early check in which was really appreciated. Every time I messaged or emailed the property they immediately responded. The only issue we had was with parking. We paid to reserve a spot and still received a ticket.. there were no permits either at the front desk for the paid parking so I'm not really sure what I paid for if we got a ticket. I am hoping the ticket will be canceled but it still never should of happened. Please correct your parking for customers so they are not double charged Like I got.

Great area! The building is poorly built, blinds fall off, no AC in unit, Washer and dryer have no vent, bathroom and bedroom doors don’t lock. It’s a security deposit scam type hotel. RUN!!!

Great location. Communications emwere always on point

A very comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you need a place to stay in Toronto!

Property had a great location but wasn’t well maintained. Little things had not been kept up, pull out couch broken, latches on kitchen cupboards not working, shower lever broken, curtains only covered part of the windows etc.

My worst experience of staying, two or three nights in a row, me and my family were unable to sleep due to the crazy loud noise from the next door, having party every night. On the first night I did not sleep at all as they had a party until 5am, and I talked to the property staff but they can’t solve the problem, even ask me to call 911by myself!

The check in/out processes were difficult, vague, and outright frustrating. Our buzzer code never worked (it was never answered for us or customer support), making check in and checkout difficult. Both processes were not explained well. It took 30 minutes to get into the building and the same amount to leave. At check in (at 12a), we had to call to even figure out how to get in, double park, get access, go upstairs to get the key, circle the block to get into parking, then finally get up to the room. All of this after attempting to contact the owner/service person via the buzzer code. Had to call support and security let us in the elevator. At checkout, we were told simply to leave the key on the table. But we learned once we were stuck in the elevator that we couldn’t get to the parking level without the fob nor could we go back up to the room. Again, no answer with the buzzer code. Customer service was told by security that they couldn’t help us and customer service needed to send someone. Security ultimately got us access to the parking garage so we could make our flight. I was NEVER contacted by customer support to see if we were ok, checked out, inform us that they were sending help, etc. For all they know, we are still sitting in the lobby waiting to get our car!!

Excellent Location

Building security required the use of a fob. This allowed access to parking, the front door and the elevators. Ours worked only intermittently. When I tried to call support, they demanded a video of the fob NOT working. This led to significant frustration. I contacted both Global-Stay and Hotels.com without satisfaction in either case. I was not able to use the parking I paid for. When I requested a full refund with the intent of finding an alternate accomodation, I was denied because of the contract. If you have challenges, don't contact the building concierge, they will NOT help anyone on a "short-term" stay. In addition, the property was in significant disrepair. Water stains, flooring unsecured, and other items in poor repair. I know Toronto is expensive, but I expected more considering what we paid. Overall, this was a frustrating two-night stay in a convenient location.

Place was acceptable, being I was by myself and more tolerant. Small touch of a fresh bar of soap, a travel toothpaste in case I forgot or ran out.. which I did. The shower tiles are black so they show if they were thoroughly cleaned which they weren’t and the glass balcony was filthy dirty, which obstructed the beautiful view a little. Aside from that I guess good for $200 a nigh?!
