Handy to Spruce Meadows

There were suspicious bodily fluid type stains stains on the couch that the cushions were turned over to hide instead of cleaned. The only solution was to offer to clean it. The tv in the bedroom was pixilated and unwatchable. The entrance door loudly creaked and the trim and door of the bathroom had paint peeling and the shower head needed to be soaked in vinegar. No manager on site to offer discount at Sunday check out. And no correspondence by same after the fact. Will never stay here again. Will be contacting corporate

Great stay cation

Great stay. Newly renovated

Room was very spacious and modern for a family of 6. The pool, waterslide and hot tub was a huge hit for the children.

Great room. 2 TVs. Construction in the elevator but not too loud in the room.

The room we were given had no shower curtain, the cover to the a/c unit was not secured and fell off a couple of times. There weren’t sufficient towels in the room either. I spoke to the staff member and was told I would be given a call by the manager which I have yet to receive. They have a Hospitality Promise, but don’t seem to abide by it.

Warning: If you book through Expedia and anything goes wrong, Holiday Inn will not accomodate. I was given the worst room in the hotel (near the lobby, shared wall with elevators and by the pool-loud) and the AC didn't work (in 30 degree weather). They were in my room late into the night trying to fix it to no avail and brought me a fan saying "we won't charge you for it this time". What? The AC was working the next day when I returned and my room was freezing cold, when I went to turn it down it started making a terrible noise that I'm sure noone could fall asleep to. I went to the desk and the hotel was sold out so they could do nothing for me. The lady at the front desk was kind but you could tell her hands were tied to do anything. Luckily I had a friend staying in the same hotel and just moved to her room so I could sleep on her terrible pull out couch. Even though I didn't sleep in my room, they would not issue any refund to me or through Expedia. I will never stay at a Holiday inn again and they didn't care. Nice facility- sadly, really unhospitable. When I called the manager the next day I was told she would call back in 20 min- she didn't. I called again today and she said there is nothing they can do because I booked through a 3rd party. My friend had a terrible time too. They wouldn't accept the company card to pay and our team memebers (staying at different hotel) had to come over THREE times before it worked. We have never had these things happen before.

We always stay at this hotel when we go to Calgary for the staycation.

Everything is all good

Great staff and the Reno’s are nice. Couple of things small things. There was no hand sanitizer anywhere near the breakfast area and you had to walk through all the dinning guests for a garbage.

Wasn’t prepared for our arrival. Didn’t have enough towels. Towels had holes

I enjoy staying at your hotel. I will definitely come back.

The room was very roomy for our family of 5. The only issue I had is when we checked in the staff member there was not as nice as the rest of the team.

Could benefit from sound proofing. Rooms are very loud, can hear noise from parking lot, hallway, lobby clearly. Hotel is in a nice area. Little to no highway noise, easy access to multiple areas of the city.

TV and Alarm clock not working properly

Enjoyed this property. Clean , good breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. Will be better when renovations are done.
