Residence & Conference Centre - Ottawa West

It's a nice place and easily accessible place to stay. Glad that I found this place as a last minute option and it went really well. The rooms were neat and fairly maintained. It was a bit difficult to locate this building as its in a huge college campus and you will need to follow the directions in your booking(if booked online). You will need to thoroughly read the email to uncover the deal code for the parking discount, else you'll have to pay a bigger amount. Overall, a fairly good deal for the price.

This property is not suitable for older guests with mobility issues. there is too much walking required. Also, front desk clerk interrupted my check in process several times to tend to student needs, so whole check in took much longer than it should have.

The customer care was very reliable and friendly

While the room was large (2 bedrooms), the room smelled of smoke even though it's supposed to be a non-smoking facility. There was someone else's dirty socks on the chair and popcorn on the floor. The kitchenette was good but no bottled water. There is no TV. There was no indication in the room how to access the internet or even the front desk. I had to resort to calling from my cell phone to get anyone and the young man was clueless. I happen to have just bought some room spray so that really helped. You hear everyone in the halls so you have to hope for a less busy time. The main entrance is closed so I had to walk a long way in the pouring rain with my luggage and that was frustrating. One of the elevators was out of order and it is a ridiculously long way to lug your luggage to the other elevator. They had shampoo but no conditioner and no lotion. The bed was okay but they could actually use warm blankets - luckily I had a heating pad with me to keep me war - not a great value for the money at all. I will stay at a hotel next time where all of these concerns will not be an issue.

For a short overnight stay the property was fine. Price was perfect

Convenient enough for the amount of time we were there. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Only real downside was the beds were very firm and squeaky simply when you turned around or adjusted yourself in bed. Otherwise good enough for inexpensive accommodations and close to several amenities

I stayed at this property and had the worst experience in my life. First , the cleanliness of the room was horrible , the bathroom was not properly cleaned at all. Then the AC stopped working. I went and conveyed all these concerns to the front desk but it’s just a bunch of students who don’t care or have no control. Then my keycard stopped working multiple times. On top of that , both me and my husband got staph infections 2 days post staying here. I asked for a refund for how bad the stay was and they would not give it citing that I never said any concerns and their policy which to me was not true and is complete crap. Horrible experience would not recommend for anybody even if it is cheap.

Quiet and safe. Easy check in. Good bus transportation. For parking, do not use Honk app to pay for parking with credit card. My CC got stolen on Honk app and I had to cancel the card. Do not use any QR codes or use Honk app to pay online for parking with Credit card. Also do not use open wifi for Credit card transactions on line.

I’ve never written a bad review in my life before but this place was horrible. Signage was nonexistent. Called the front desk and had someone eating food or chewing gum give very poor service. When we found the parking the front entrance was under construction and we had to use a side entrance. They didn’t have our reservation as “it was a glitch in the system” when I showed them my Expedia confirmation. It took 30 minutes and we finally got a room. We got to the room and it smelled of cigarette smoke and disinfectant trying to mask the smell. The mattresses were lumpy and there was no tv in the room. I honestly think they put us in a room under renovation as they were sold out when another person from the football team went to book. When I went to the front desk they were not willing to do anything for us. I asked to cancel my reservation as it was a refundable / cancellable reservation and they said because it was after 2pm they wouldn’t. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. Highly would not recommend this place!! Spend the little extra and go elsewhere!!!

The place was very quiet and clean. Students were quite accommodating and pleasant. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay for a family or 2 couples on a budget

It was noisy at the hallway and I can hear it inside the room. I did not like the bathroom, it's not so clean and the Shower is terrible that it take longer time to make my hair wet.

Parking is NOT free, need to pay.

It was bigger than your average hotel room. Was easy to find, and very clean. Was great for what I needed. The wifi was a bit weird though? Seemed to block sending images on Facebook Messenger and block Instagram?
