Travelodge by Wyndham Port Elgin

Staff at check-in were super friendly. Pool and hot tub not so clean. Room was dated but clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Would stay again.

The property is very outdated. It seems they are starting to renovate other rooms. The room I was in smell bad with the old carpet. The bed is sink down into the frame. May be something is broken. TV is not hooked up to anything. One light doesn't work. The pool water is very cold. The hot tub is not working and keep tripping the breaker. Need to call the staff to reset it every 20 min. Property is close to shopping plaza and some restaurants.

The room was next to housekeeping and quite noisy. It needed a coat of paint, bathroom door wouldn't close properly, no plug for the sink.

Enjoyed overnight stay at Travelodge Port Elgin. Check-in experience could have been better as I had to wait for about 45 mins to be given a room as they were still cleaning the room. I understand, delay might have been on account of long weekend rush. Still, a room ready at check-in is expected. Hope they hire more cleaning staff around rush times to minimize inconvenience

Very nice place to stay with best eating options nearby and walkable to the beach . Really quiet area and very friendly staff .

Room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Good, basic accommodation for short or longer term stays. Attached restaurant for breakfast and lunch meals is a plus.

Damp musty rooms, apologized and said they were renovating and I would have stayed elsewhere if they had have let us know before hand. Would never stay here again.

Good location

I had placed the “Please Make Up Room” sign on the door handle around 7:30 AM before leaving for my trip. To my surprise, when I returned at 10:00 PM, the room had not been cleaned and was exactly as I had left it. I was very disappointed to find that housekeeping had completely missed it despite the clear request.

I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the room I stayed in!! There were lots of toiletries provided, and overall I would highly recommend this property.

Clean, comfortable, close to everything... beach, restaurants, shoppimg etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Fridge froze our food so we had to through everything out the next morning. Coffee machine leaked and then coffee tasted soapy. TV didn’t turn on as it was set in the instructions on the table. Side lamp didn’t turn on. Door sticks.

Rooms were tidy, pool area ok as well. Noisy fridge and a/c in room, otherwise ok.

-Hotel was in a good location -Did pre-check-in online (as offered by hotel earlier in the day by Text msg & email) -Arrived at hotel, and had to re-do everything I did in the pre-checkin online. Which made the pre-checkin a waste of my time. -Room Keys did not work, had to go get them re-programmed -WIFI did not work, went to front desk, Agent claimed it was working, I told him to check again, and he said oh. I guess its not... So he did something on computer, and said there its fixed. Nope not fixed. Or the WIFI & internet was just crap? I did a speedtest, less than 1MB. So All the work i needed to get done on my laptop, I could not do. -Next morning, I just checked out early and went across street to MCD to use there WIFI, which worked perfectly. -For Me having reliable WIFI is Extremely Important, as Im staying for Business. I will not return to this hotel in the future because of this.

Young lady (East Indian ) was extremely helpful (room was booked on wrong date ) may have been my fault but very difficult to change , she after a while, corrected this and did a great job . In back courtyard , could use some weed pulling , to look definately better . Thx

Not having to deal woth stairs after a long hard day of activities. Everything was on the ground floor from you room to the pool and hot tub.

The staff are very nice and check in was very quick.
