Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room had a great layout that included a minibar, in room hot tub and walkout patio. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the breakfast had great options for everyone!

Very clean and well kept. Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff very helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights. Buffet style breakfast which was excellent. Fantastic pool and grounds. Staff excellent. Some lovely restaurants in Monteverde but not an easy walk if you have any mobility issues. We loved it. Also 5 minute walk to the “ficus tree”. Would recommend doing the San Juan, sugar cane, chocolate and coffee tour and the hanging bridges.

Not able to flush the toilet paper.

10/10 hotel. Family of 4 (2 adults 2 12 yr old). Staffs were helpful and very friendly. No uber in this town. They helped us arranged taxi pickup and drop off. Location is perfect quick walk to downtown, supermarkets and restaurants. Room is spacious and clean. Water pressure was a little low for shower. Otherwise everything is perfect. Loved the marshmallow they provided. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The property & gardens were beautifully maintained.

I really enjoyed staying at Poco a Poco. The pool is great, it's warm so we enjoyed it at night after walking all day. Breakfast is really good.👍

Beautiful place, the staff was amazing and very friendly. The food and service in the restaurant on site was 5 star. Very homey and comforting.

excellent option at Monteverde!

Wonderful location near multiple rainforest/suspended bridges/zipline options. Don Juan coffee plantation only minutes away too. Excellent breakfasts included. Don’t miss the focus tree bridge 200m away!

Very nice property, beautifully done. Great check-in experience, spa treatment utilized by a couple of people from our small group was excellent. Pool is great too. A beautiful stray girl visited me 2 days in a row, I'm guessing the place doesn't show cruelty towards her, so that's a wonderful thing. The food at their restaurant was mediocre, but there are many places just 50 steps away from the property. I'd highly recommend the place.

Clean property. But it was too loud as some construction was going on. The nature walk around the property was great. Breakfast was good. Shopping nearby and plenty of restaurants at walkable distance.

Our room was across from the hotel restaurants kitchen so we could hear that noise whenever they we open. There was also construction just outside of our room which was quite loud. The room itself had two tiny windows that opened, no air conditioning or even a bathroom fan so when we showered the whole space steamed up and only somewhat dried if we opened the main door. By the time we left all of our clothes felt damp even if we hadn’t worn them. Some of the staff were very helpful while others were not at all—a young woman at the check in desk seemed bothered to look up shuttle times/costs for us. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food/drinks. The jacuzzi was not warm. Overall I would not recommend this spot even though it is cute and convenient.

Les chambres sont beaucoup trop petite, l'hôtel n'est pas conçue pour affronter l'humidité de monteverde et on y ait toujours inconfortable. Aucun patio pour nous, le dejeuner est horrible et les serveurs ne remplissent pas le cafe. Nous avons eu un bris de tuyau dans la chambre et on a eu 3 pouces d'eau au sol qui a mouillés nos bagages et rendu la chambre innabitable. On nous a changé de chambre. Mais l'hôtel n'a rien proposé pour compenser tel un lavage de nos vêtements que j'ai du demandé. Aucune compensation offerte, j'ai du demandé la politique de compensation a la maison mere treebuhotel et j'attends toujours la compensation depuis 2 semaines. Eviter Monteverde et surtout cette hotel

The location was very convenient, with plenty of dining options within walking distance, and the town was easily accessible. Parking was available for guests, which was a nice perk. However, since it was the low season, there was ongoing construction that was quite noisy, particularly outside our hotel room. The work continued until around 7-8pm each day, which made it difficult to relax. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and even welcomed us with a small treat for our honeymoon and assisted in booking a tour. The free breakfast, however, was inconsistent. Some items were cold, other days some items were missing, and the portions were small. The food never seemed fresh. One morning, when we asked for both juice and coffee, they initially said no, but the next day they gave us both without issue. Perhaps in high season it would be better.

The staff at Poco a Poco were so incredibly kind and accommodating, they were a pleasure every time we had a question or needed something. The amenities of the property were clean and well-maintained, having a covered pool and hot tub was such a big plus for us since we visited during the rainy season. The property even has a walking trail on its grounds where you can see capuchin monkeys in the trees above you! They're also in the process of updating and revamping the interiors of some of the units, so I can only imagine how much better the property will be after! I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay again during my next time in Monteverde!

Convenient location. Restaurant was very nice and food was good. Pool area could be improved and more seating added.

Comfortable stay in Monteverde. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Free breakfast was delicious. Close to town, walkable to restaurants. There is a cute little park with a mini Zipline across the street the kids enjoyed. The hot tub was great. Would have been nice if the pool was heated (it was freezing).

Great location to shops and restaurants. No AC in the rooms and our room didn’t have a fan. Also, very loud property - could hear every vehicle drive by, especially with having to have windows open because room was warm.

The road from La Fortuna to Monteverde is an adventure in and if itself! Very drivable but bumpy! The cloudforest sits atop the mountains! Poco a Poco has beautiful rooms on beautiful property. We walked the paths on site with flowers, forestry, and butterflies! We had a wonderful relaxing massage at the Spa. I would definitely recommend!
