Ivotel Abidjan

I do not like to add bad reviews but I booked this hotel whose rate was more expensive than similar hotels in the area because it offered free airport shuttle although despite confirming my flight details in advance twice with the reception desk, there was no body to pick me up on arrival. So I had to get a taxi and pay extra USD 45 for the ride, so my stay was quite more expensive than expected and I felt very disappointed with the service received.

Ivotel has done some great upgrades to the rooms, they are well sized and comfortable. The breakfast is more than adequate with all the options that you might like. I was on the 9th floor and although this provided a great view the Wifi/Internet connectivity was poor to non existent and there were more than one or two cockroach's in the room.

Impressive accommodation but they were renovating; and the noise was a disturbance when they’re working but apart from that it was a fun stay

Not recommended, as no support from staff, ac was making noise for all days during my stay and no response from reception, even can not able to make call to reception from room. Water from bathroom comes put while taking bath

Great place to stay. Loved the breakfast and dining options. Very quiet room, clean amenities. Liked the room layout. Only couple reasons why I didn't give a 5/5 are that room service is not complimentary (had to pay 1,000 xof), and an attitude from the male receptionist I asked a question to in the evening. I would recommend

Room condition is overall OK, but WIFI in the room didn't work at all. It is very fatal problem. (Near reception, WIFI was available.) Hot water machine didn't work well..

Great location and nice crew of staff

Except for the repair noise I experienced from the floor above during my most recent visit in September, the conditions and staff service at the hotel were excellent.

They are very nice people especially the guy at the restaurant Yapi…he was so nice

We stayed in this hotel based on the fact that it was closer to the airport than the others, and it offered breakfast and shuttle service. That being said, I would never stay here again. The lobby is nice and the staff and breakfast were good. That is where they seemed to have placed their efforts. The rooms although spacious had a foul smell. Despite the air-conditioning, the rooms and hallway were FULL of mold. The bathroom shower area was poorly caulked, and the pitch was away from the drain, so the floor got wet when we showered. The sink water was warm and the shower water was very cool. I don’t know how that could happen, but it did. Their site says they did a renovation in 2019. I didn’t see evidence of it. Others in our party changed rooms, and had similar experiences, so this is a hotel-wide issue. This hotel appeared to cater to many male workers for overseas companies. Unlike another hotel we stayed in nearby, this hotel had NO security. The machine to scan people and bags was dusty and just beeped as you walked through the metal detector. May I suggest that they really do an upgrade!
