Munkebo Kro

Munkebo is a lovely place. However we are both in our mid seventies and have slight mobility issues and were offered a room on the first floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy suitcases upstairs ourselves. The receptionist was not very responsive when I asked if only upstairs was available but continued to just walk upstairs. The room was very adequate and we really enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant. Next day we needed to check out early to be able to return our rental car in Copenhagen and at 7:30 am there was no one at the desk to check us out. Breakfast starts at that time so the morning kitchen person was kind enough to let us pay the bill. He told us the receptionist would not arrive until 8 am. As this is an upscale establishment I would have expected better service in this area.

Great stay, only an overnighter and unfortunately due to flights arrived late, but really straight forward communication with the hotel, via email and phone and the room was available, spotless and clean and comfortable, the breakfast was simple but tasty and it made the journey to Munkebo super easy

Lovely traditional Danish Kro. Great views across the Fiord. Would be an amazing venue for functions.

What an amazing place. This extremely well maintained old farm is now acting as restaurant and inn with very classic and tasty rooms. The food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. Views, yard and gardens are lovely too. Even the weather was good 😊

Had a pleasant stay. Good breakfast options. Staff was very focused on cleanliness, which was great. The building is a bit dated, but has an old world charm. Not noisy or squeaky.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Parking was convenient in the back and plentiful. The view was great. The food was outstanding!

For our 1st anniversary we had 2 nights at Munkebo Kro. Bottle of Prosecco in room on arrival (As requested) - we stayed in the Suite which was excellent, so cannot comment on standard rooms. The evening dinners were superb. Very recommended

Top notch Kro in every way

Friendly and accommodating staff. Very good restaurant and menu. Nice wine and beer selection. B'fast buffet includes juices, pastries, several types of breads and rolls, luncheon meats, bacon, sausages, soft and scrambled eggs, sliced and whole fruits, cheeses. No A/C, but didn't need it. Room relatively large with closets, desk, chair and refrigerator. Half-timbered building with thatched roof, fully restored and remodeled. Two floors. Did not see an elevator, but there could be one. Off of two lane highway with relatively light automobile traffic--almost exclusively. Quiet at night. Had second floor room on side wing of inn facing side street with few well-spaced houses. Country-like setting across the highway from a large tidal inlet with docking and mooring for local boaters--nice view. Short drive to larger picturesque town on inlet with several restaurants along small harbor. Banks with ATM's, grocery store, filling station, shops, etc.. Inn is +/- 20 minute drive from either Nyborg or Odense along pretty country roads. Several Viking sites close by. This was the third time we visited Munkebo Kro in two years. Highly recommended.

Excellent rooms and dining facility. Good food. Would recommend this hotel if you like a nicely renovated old building and looks out on the bay from the dining room.

Fin modtagelse af et imødekommende og venligt personale. Kom til et rent og pænt værelse og overalt følte vi os velkomne. Morgenerne startede med et flot morgenbord, hvor der blev hygget om os - og vi spiste alt for meget. Et ophold der absolut kan anbefales til andre.

Munkebo Kro ligger flot placeret ved fjorden, men desværre også tæt ved vejen mod Kerteminde. Man mærker det ikke indenfor, når vinduerne lukket. Kroen har en udmærket restauarant med en fin menu, og rigtig god morgenmad.

Dejligt sted med flot udsigt til vand. Godt værelse med lille sofa, lænestol og sofabord. Dejlige senge og ok badeværelse. Restaurant med udsigt og godt køkken. Meget smilende og serviceminded personale. Dejlig morgenbuffet

Meget meget hyggelig kro, meget smukt værelse, meget venligt personale, både rengøring , reception og serveringspersonale. vi kommer igen.

Vi nød vores ophold, alt var perfekt. Personalet i reception, restaurant og rengøring var hjælpsomme og venlige. Restauranter havde en pænt udvalg, alt var lækkert, men vi kan ikke anbefale deres stegte rødspætte den var en skuffelse.

Fremragende restaurant med delikat mad og meget professionel betjening. Hyggeligt værelse. God morgenmad
