It was comfortable for one night

Very enjoyable stay staff great

Great stay for 1 night, staff were an asset to your hotel (particularly Adrian on reception and we think Flowers? house keeper on 1st floor was super helpful.

Excellent and lovrly staff

The receptionist was very welcoming and explained the process. She left me with a packed breakfast to pick up in the morning when I realised I would miss breakfast because of where I needed to be before it was time for breakfast to be served. The bed in my room was comfortable and the tea making facilities were good

tLovely bathroom and great shower, but the hotel room was very cold as the heating was quite complicated to use - added to this the heater plug shorted and there was a strong electrical smell in the room.

Received an upgrade on arrival and the room was fabulous. Everything just as one would like. Warm, clean, spacious, comfortable bed and lovely linen. Bathroom had a shower and a bath. Staff very polite and helpful.

Very good service

The staff were lovely , the room was clean but the heat coming out of the bathroom was unbearable . The pillows were hard and kettle was placed under an alcove meaning unless you’re three ft tall you had to stoop to make a coffee . Only one plug socket by the drinks set up so you have to decide between the telly being on or boiling your kettle . Daft I think . So had to plug the kettle on a tiny bedside cabinet and a boiled kettle full of scalding hot water is not ideal a foot away from my head . A socket would be better suited by the main table . For the money I thought it was a poor room but I will add that the shower was amazing . If anyone reads this , room 64 . I guess if you’re a single person staying then you’re more of an afterthought than a family paying more . Who knows ? R.McCartney

Only booked the single room but would describe the bed as a small double and the room was great too.

Room was bigger than last time but in dire need of some refurbishment. Loose floor tiles in the bath room, cracked wall tiles and generally poorly sealed / caulked with some flaking paint, roller blind old and dirty with insects trapped in it. Bed hard as nails, pillows not great / no options. 3 radiators only 1 of which you could control so room was hot without windows open but noisy in town. Walls in corridoors and breakfast room were dirty / not maintained well. £9 a night parking unless you book direct is a bit cheeky and in any case the car park was full on Thursday with 3 cars driving round and round waiting when I got there so you pay up front for parking you are not guaranteed!

I had high expectations for this hotel based on a colleagues recommendation, but unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. While it may meet the technical criteria for a four-star rating, it did not feel like a four-star experience. My accommodation was in an annex building that, despite a modern appearance, felt unstable and creaky. The noise from the room above was excessive, continuing until 1am, making it difficult to sleep. Additionally, the car park was completely full, leaving me unable to secure a space despite being charged for parking. The room was not well insulated from noise, and located near a busy junction, I was frequently disturbed by sirens and flashing lights. The blinds provided little coverage, and the thin walls and windows did little to block the sound. There were also several basic amenities missing, including a full-length mirror and a remote control for the TV. The shower was exceptionally small, with poor water pressure, and the shower curtain continually stuck to me due to the limited space. That said, the hotel staff were very friendly, and the dining experience was excellent. The quality of the food was outstanding, and it was evident that a great deal of effort had been put into the restaurant. It was a stark contrast to the poor sleeping conditions, almost as if I had stayed at two completely different hotels. Overall, while I appreciated the hospitality and dining, the lack of comfort and and amenities made for an unsatisfactory stay.

Good service and quiet place

Just one night on my own but it’s great value and really friendly people. Even posted back my AirPods when I left them in my room!

I'd booked the cheapest room, but still £100 per night. I was a small single. Shower / toilet room was really compact and desk wasn't fit for anything other than making tea (in fact the tea tray was fixed onto it taking half the space up). On the plus side, fixtures and fittings were new and clean, the hotel was well appointed and great central location. I just don't think that spec of room quite justified the price.

The staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and a good night's sleep perfect.
