Royal Lancaster London

Accidentally booked the wrong date by a day(sometimes when looking at properties if you hit the back button it will revert dates to a previous booking) and I IMMEDIATELY—as in less than 60 seconds—made them aware and even offered to upgrade the room to make it worth their time, they absolutely refused to work with me in any way, shape, or form. No one I talked to would offer any help besides “we can add an addition day, but we will not refund or move that booking.” If this is the way they conduct business, can’t imagine they are honest in any other ways.

I will go back to this hotel again and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to London. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a hotel stay to this degree! It checked every box and then some.

Hotel was fantastic, entire staff was outstanding. Sebastian the concierge was so helpful and enjoyable to interact with. Definitely our hotel destination on next trip to London.

My wife and I stayed for one night and there is literally nothing that could have been done to make the stay better. After contacting a reservation agent a few days in advance about an earlier check-in time, we were able to check-in a couple of hours early since our flight was arriving in the morning. The agent informed us that this was not guaranteed but they made every effort to accommodate us and thankfully the room was ready. This made a massive difference in our trip and experience at the hotel. I would not have faulted them if the room was not ready, but the extra effort was noticed and much appreciated. The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was clean, visually attractive, modern, and comfortable. There was complimentary water and snacks provided in the room and the bed was great. After checking out, the front desk held our bags until we could retrieve them after the London Marathon. Every staff member that we spoke to was pleasant and helpful. To sum it all up, the experience and stay were 10/10 and we will definitely plan to stay here upon our next visit to London.

The area isn’t the best but the hotel is great.

Located across the street from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. So, has a great location. Lot to see. The staff was super helpful and friendly. This was by far our favorite hotel on our trip. The breakfast buffet was very good. There are also many good restaurants near the hotel. Then tube station is located close by. No ATM on site but within walking distance.

Small rooms but very optimally organized

Great hotel next to Hyde Park and close to 2 tube stations & Paddington train station/Heathrow Express. Suite was lovely & comfortable, as described. Was a bit surprised a few room features didn't perform as expected though for the high quality surroundings. Staff was very helpful when informed and quick to respond when we needed anything. Not our first visit and would return.

Very nice hotel and clean, bright room

Good hotel in a great area for walking around Hyde park or shopping along Oxford street. Lancaster gate tube station underneath was a real plus too. The prompt room service and tasty food that came with it was also a selling point. Only shortfall we found was the limited options for food choices at breakfast as two individuals with specific dietary requirements. Also cost for breakfast is a little exoensive so food out nearby is probably cheaper; we did this on two days over our stay.

Service: I cannot fault the service. All employees were extremely respectful, polite and happy to help. Front of house when checking in were extremely lovely to deal with. They upgraded our rooms and provided adjoining rooms. Rooms: rooms were modern, clean and had the essentials for a trip to London. They were on the smaller side however this isn’t a make or break given the coziness. The bedsheets and bed were 10/10. The comfiest bed and the softest sheets I have experienced in a hotel. The bathrooms were so fluffy and soft, a pleasure to put on. The shower was stand alone which was nice. Location: I was only in the hotel for 1 night due to a family member being admitted to st Mary’s hospital on our trip. I personally wouldn’t find the location great but for a 5 star, exceptional attentive service, super clean, modern and comfy hotel I could overlook location. I would recommend.

Ten years ago, I visited Royal Lancaster London (then Lancaster London) with my girlfriend—now my wife. It was my first time in London, and I was filled with excitement. Arriving early in the morning, we simply asked to store our luggage, but the incredibly kind staff surprised us with an early check-in. This thoughtful gesture allowed me to freshen up before starting my London adventure. That visit was even more special as I had planned to propose. I shared my plans with the hotel, and they went above and beyond, decorating our room for the occasion. Their hospitality left a lasting impression. A decade later, now living in London for years, we returned to celebrate our proposal anniversary—with our 3-year-old son and another baby on the way. Once again, Royal Lancaster exceeded expectations. They not only decorated our room beautifully but also arranged for us to have the same breathtaking view as 10 years ago. They even provided extra cushions for my wife’s comfort and special amenities for our little one. The most touching part? A surprise experience that made our stay truly unforgettable—something I’ll keep secret so future guests can enjoy their own magical moments. A heartfelt thank you to the exceptional staff for their kindness and professionalism. Royal Lancaster London isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where memories are made. We will definitely return again!

Amazing

Amazing 5 star experience all around! Check is early and everyone very helpful. Room was comfortable and spacious with a gorgeous view. Service was top notch. Traveled with my 3 year old son and everyone was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

Whilst a triple was booked the room wa snot prepared for it, we called and asked for it to be made whilst at dinner, arrived back and had to call a second time for it be made up, not ideal and certainly not what I’d expected for the cost and reputation of the hotel.

Absolutely loved and enjoyed my stay. The property was nicely maintained and easy to navigate. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to the city and accessibility to public transportation was a plus! The service I received was unmatched. Each staff member I interacted with was helpful, knowledgeable in their field and very kind. Would recommend anyone to stay at this property.
