Excellent welcome from reception staff. The lobby is truly spectacular. Had a great meal in the restaurant. Enjoyed the pool. We were only able to stay one night but would love to go back and explore Lyon properly

Beautiful hotel. Eco Friendly, Swimming pool, spa and steam room for guests. I also had a massage which was well priced and a decent massage. Restaurant on premise is very nice . Only a short walk to the sites and short uphill stroll back but everything with in 20 mins walk and so peaceful and relaxing. Right next to the Roman ruins. Great part of town . 8 min walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. 30 mins down to river. I would stay here again. Great spot

Property was unique and staff were generally nice .
No air conditioning, hotel made the decision to turn it off , "it was not hot enough to justify it being on " . It was 27 degrees c .pool needed cleaned and the jacuzzi had a strong chlorine smell and the spa needed a clean in my opinion.
Restaraunt was good and was fairly priced . Staff at the restaurant were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu . Head chef also came out to wish us a happy meal .
Wasn't a bad hotel but the no air conditioning made the stay uncomfortable. Wouldn't be my first choice in Lyon again.

You need to contact the hotel on pur behalf. Although we were told when I contacted the hotel that there would be a/c, it was not yet activated to work. Although it was very warm. I would have stayed elsewhere if I knew that the a/c is programmed to work as of May 5th. The manager will credit us but you need to contact the hotel.

Room warm, not sure the climatisation worked correctly.
Vanity mirror didn't seem to stay in position.

The Fourviere is a staggeringly lovely hotel in a beautifully renovated period property. Our room had a great view of the Cathederal and was easy walking distance from both funiculars. The breakfast was very good and offered lots of options to suit my dairy intolerance. The indoor spa and outdoor heated pool were very relaxing.

Beautifully designed and converted monastery . Great hillside location outside the centre close to the Basilica overlooking Lyon -which is a 25 minute downhill walk. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city this will be perfect . Very Comfortable rooms, quality linens and robes and very impressive service throughout the hotel. Restaurant well worth visiting for incredible food. Small spa - long lap pool in the quiet gardens - very uncomfortable sunbeds ! Apart from that small niggle - very Highly recommended.
