The hotel is clean and very well located and the front desk staff was very nice and the room was ready much earlier than official check-in time. However, the room isn’t well isolated so I was woken up by the noise of motorcycles in the street and dogs barking.

Service was great, everyone very attentive, however I hoped for the sauna service to be working but I was told it was under maintenance-closed during my 5day stay. Beds were a bit uncomfortable too. Normally they include free breakfast for any overnight stays, but because I did it through Expedia it was not an option.

The grounds of Don Rodrigo were beautiful! We loved that we were able to step outside our room and have a gorgeous view of Lake Atitlan and the mountains/volcanoes. They had a pool which was nice bc I personally don't like swimming in lakes and my friends did have a hard time finding a good spot to take a dip. Staff was super nice and also helped connect us to a driver to get to the airport the day of our checkout. The location of the hotel is right at the end/beginning of the main street with all shops/ restaurants so very convenient. It was also a quick walk to the docking area where one would take the lanchas to other surrounding villages. Felt safe as well.

El hotel se sabe que es antiguo, y sigue siendo bueno pero si creo que le falta actualizar algunas cosas como poner por lo menos un conector más.
Tuvimos un incidente con mi beba de 2 años, la teniamos jugando en el pequeño espacio que tienen para bebés dentro de la piscina, ella jugando tranquila ahi se cortó el pie, solamente nos llevaron un botiquín, no hubo una disculpa o un apoyo adicional, y eso que la cortada fue porque tienen azulejos quebrados y otros rajados en esa área. Deberían de tener todo en mejores condiciones.
