La Fortezza Panzió

I'm not sure of whoes fault it was, but I didn't know my room number and how to check in and out. To check out, I contacted with a staff member by e-mail and could get a password for a safety box and return the key. Because other visitors seemed to know, it might be my fault or lack of instruction.

Such a wonderful place...there's kitchenette also where I have the option to prepare simple meals or even heat up food.. Awesome staff!! Everyone was so warm and friendly.. Will surely stay again if I am.back Tq so much

Lovely modern apartment, set in a wonderful ancient buulding, located in the city centre. A free breakfast is provided in the restaurant next door, which is fronted by a friendly, helpful young lady who speaks perfect English. Couldn't have asked for more from a reasonably priced week's stay in Budapest.

The apartment was fantastic, so was the staff we met. If we had to find fault all we could say was that the stairs leading to floor 1 needed some extra lighting. Otherwise, will highly recommend.😀

Convenient location, extra spotless clean room, beautiful interior and snug 2nd floor of the suite make up a great property! The beds were so comfortable as well

The building is old and shows it, but the room is quite efficient and outside noise minimal. Noisy neighbors were on the same floor, though. Some past reviews are critical of the breakfast, but we found it to be fine—one ought not expect the Ritz at a budget-friendly lodging! The young lady working at breakfast is delightful, competent, and speaks English well. We would stay here again.

Eggs were sweet for some reason. They had hot dogs, slices of cheese and meats Reception is only there from 10am-3pm on weekdays so be aware if you're trying to store luggage or check in at odd hours

The location is excellent. The room (we have a 1-bedroom loft) is spacious and very clean. There is a washing machine in our unit and detergent was provided. We enjoyed our stay at La Fortezza Panzió. However, it may be a challenge for people who have mobility issues as there are a number of stairways.

Great location on the main tourist walking street in central Budapest. Checkin and checkout was easy and completely person-free (eg only via codes and a lock box). On the downside there was no one around to ask for help and no one in reception at the times we went there. Had a problem with a lack of hot water that went unresolved.

Perfect blend of history and modern clean room. In the middle of the walkable tourist street. Just skip the breakfast. It's left over pizza ingredients from the underneath pizza restaurant. Also prepare to walk up 40 steps with your luggage. Otherwise it's excellent.

Modern super clean rooms

Fantastic place to stay that is value for money, clean, spacious and safe. For some reason Expedia or the property didn’t provide us with any check in details which made it difficult for us to get in given our late arrival. Parking garages are relatively close. All the celebrations of National Day were enjoyed close by. Would definitely stay here again. Walk to the Danube, eat outside the entrance, have a great time and enjoy Budapest!

Great location and really nice room. Super convenient to everywhere in Budapest.

This is not a hotel and does not offer hotel services. Front desk is available for an hour or so in the morning. Breakfast is cold continental plus coffee. No eggs, which I really needed.. no elevator to take baggage to the upper floors. Apartment not really comfortable but fits a fee people and is in a good locstio.

Excellent location, central in a quiet part of pedestrian Vaci street. Lovely coffee pod machine in the room, good wifi and aircon. Clean and new looking. Hosts very helpful.

Very good location and helpful staff

The lady at the reception was exceptional. We booked 2 rooms, one elderly family member was staying alone in one room and the rest of us had to catch our flight. He was feeling unwell on the day of checkout and she allowed him a late checkout, helped him down the stairs, and helped him get a taxi cab and called me multiple times to update me on him. I was very touched. The room we stayed in was two floors, spotless and clean, and decorated so prettily with fun lights , mirrors and sparkles. It felt huge and had everything we could want in an apartment with a full kitchen. The location was in a beautiful pedestrian street which we enjoyed walking through both day and night time and felt very safe. I will mention for those with elderly family or mobility impairments; you must walk up stairs to get to the rooms as there is no elevator, the taxis also cannot bring you to the door bc it is a pedestrian only street, and this could pose a problem if you are not aware beforehand
