Mercure Resort Sanur

Let me start by saying the staff at this resort were so so lovely, the grounds were also beautiful. Great pools, pushbike hire, buffet breakfast had a lot of options, cocktails were delicious! Nice seating on the beach and quite easy to walk or take a scooter around. I also had a spa treatment which was amazing. This review is more for management. The room was run down, as in floor was chipped and stained, shower was only lukewarm, bedding/pillows felt a bit grotty. It would be worthwhile spending some money to bring the rooms up to scratch so that they match the rest of this lovely property.

This property is run down and shabby. There is mould on the buildings and has a general overuse tiredness about it. My tv didn’t work for the whole stay and mosquitoes were able to get in each night. It was not close to anything other than the hotel cafe and its special seafood buffet was over cooked fish and some side dishes. Overall very disappointing

This resort was an amazing experience, unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the SPA because it was always full, but the private beach is very close and beautiful. The staff are all amazing and very kind and friendly.

Well let me start with the setting is beautiful. Good location for walking the promenade The breakfast was acceptable but not great. And I must say that the entire resort needs to be upgraded. It has seen much better days. For the price, you get what you pay for!!!!

Nice hotel on a large property in Sanur on the beach. A nice breakfast is available for a reasonable rate. The resort is a bit spread out with easy enough access to the pools and beach. Our room was very comfortable, and larger than expected.

Property was in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to other hotels in it's class. Staff were wonderful. Rooms are clean but tired.

Overall we were satisfied with our stay at the Mecure for the price we paid. The property itself while beautiful is tired and at the point of badly needing a makeover. Our biggest dislike was the breakfast, walking to 3 seperate locations to get your food and drinks but no proper bacon? Porters not turning up to collect our bags when we left after we asked earlier. The little things which should be automatic we often had to chase the staff up for. Stand out staff member was Reno. We dont know where the Mecure would be without him.

Our stay is good, all the the staff very friendly, and the receptionist when we cek in very helpful.

The resort has 2 good pools , good beach location, service is excellent right through the resort , lots of choices for breakfast ,fast check in, its at the end of Sanur beach but lots of bars and restaurants and shops.Its an aging resort but well kept . Good base to explore the rest of Bali .

Fantastic place to stay and the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much bother also very quiet but only a minute or two to walk to the local bars and restaurants

I booked our stay here because of its great location on the beach and its good price. I was worried after reading a couple of negative reviews but i was so pleasantly surprised! Im really fussy about where i stay, normally staying at Tandjung Sari or the Hyatt, but i would definitely stay at the Mercure again. We were upgraded to an Executive room close to the pool and restaurant, buffet breakfast was good and plentiful, pools are lovely and the staff really friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, relaxing and close to the beach. Great pool. Staff friendly and efficient.

Good beach front location but a fair distance to the main shopping and dining area. Rooms are clean but very tired. Staff are happy and friendly but communication at the reception desk could be improved.

I loved Mercure , Gardens , peaceful , yoga , the beach , beach walk. , breakfast , the room a great size , clean , balcony large and I really enjoyed the pool . I had a relaxing stay.

We hadn’t been to Sanur in over a decade and debated to go with an expensive hotel or look for value for our short 4 night stay before relocating to Legian. We ended up taking the value option and ultimately discovered you get what you pay for. The hotel is very dated and run down. Our room, albeit very clean and comfortable was literally falling apart. The side tables and benches all move when any pressure is placed on them and the 2nd floor balcony railing was loose at one end and ready to completely break. Our electronic door key failed on at least 4 occasions so we couldn’t access room resulting in staff having to bring a laptop and re-program the door. The hire bikes are old, have broken pedals and rusty chains. Breakfast is very basic, lacks flavour and the coffee (when machines aren’t malfunctioning) is disgusting. Having said all that, the location was great, pool always clean and staff were always polite, courteous and expedient in addressing any concerns or bringing amenities to room.
