Four Courts Hostel

Absolutely loved this place. Clean and convenient. Front desk was excellent and I will be staying here again when I return.

The room had a kettle, coffee, and cups. I know it's not a big deal for them, but for travellers, saving a few Euros each day on a coffee is nice and adds up. The staff was friendly. Breakfast is super basic, but again, more than most hostels I've stayed at! Great location, near shopping, dining, and airport bus routes! Highly recommend.

You have to do your own dishes but that adds a form style charm that I loved.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed, spacious dorm room; though I couldn't open the window. I'd stay here again.

They are missing the basic elements of stay....cleanliness of room, bathroom amenities and operation....there is no soap, bathroom is a little smelly and shower is leaky. Can not control the day water temperature. Breakfast has no fruits, no napkins....basic stuff is missing. Room has a large window that cannot be closed at all.

This is the first time I stayed in a hostel. This place is excellent. Porick and Jason could not be more helpful and accomodating. Facilities are clean and well maintained by a staff that really cares about your comfort. I feel like I am at a 5 store (dormitory) hotel for the price of a breakfast...and breakfast is included!!!! I hope the hostels I am staying at on my 3 day coach tour are as nice but I have a feeling that these guys are a breed apart from the rest!

Our room was simple and completely adequate for a day out and about in Dublin. The breakfast was simple (cereal and toast) but worked fine for us. Provided parking was much less expensive than the parkades, in spite of being a little tricky to find. Staff were friendly and helpful.

People were very nice and helpful. We only used this place for one night and choose this place only because it was the starting point of the Shamrock Tour. We had a private room, but the halls echo and the doors slam shut, so it was very hard to get a good night's sleep with people coming in and out. We did have our own toilet and sink. We were on the floor with private rooms and there is only one shower for the entire floor.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming when you arrive at this hostel! Always willing to help when needed.

The hostel is nicely situated on the river near the 747 airport bus stop. It’s next to the oldest pub in Ireland and a 15 minute walk from the national gallery. Quiet, polite, basic and friendly, with an array of tours on offer. The breakfast was toast and cereal though. Not great.

It was nice hostel.

Lady with black hair in the kitchen demanded that I wash my breakfast bowl. Man at the front counter was helpful. Middle aged couple entered the room at 3am and the husband started coughing and then threw up on his bed and went to sleep in it.

Rude staff, and I was denied entry claiming I was drunk. It was 2 in the afternoon, my flight arrived at 8am so had been awake mega early. I hardly qualify having 3 pints of Guinness being drunk. Won’t return. Actually spoiled my stay in Dublin.

This room was very tiny, beds weren't very comfortable Staff was great, Great location.

We stayed here because we had an overnight layover in Dublin. Very nice staff, very clean hosel, and very affordable. Would recommend to anyone.

The Four Courts Hostel is conveniently located and my visit was fine, by and large. The building and its facilities do feel a bit dated, but things were clean and never seemed unhygienic. I was in a mixed dorm room and the bunk beds, whilst not super-comfy, were fine and did have those handy charging points built into the headrests. Also, there were roll-out cages beneath each bunk bed big enough for an airline standard sized carry-on suitcase, a day bag, a pair of shoes, and other bits and bobs. These were lockable – bring a padlock! – and I felt my stuff was secure whenever I was out. The shower is one of those "press this button every 30 seconds or the water will stop" deals. The free breakfast is a bit disappointing. I've been to hostels all over the world and am familiar with different interpretations of a continental breakfast, but theirs is just a couple types of cereal, a milk dispenser, bins of sliced store bread next to toasters, a few communal dishes of jam, two jugs of watery squash, and a coffee and hot water canteen. My first day, I arrived 1 hour into the 2.5 hour breakfast window only to find they were out of the cereal I wanted and had only a couple end slices of bread left. After ten minutes of seeing no attempt by the staff to replenish anything, I asked if more cereal or bread were coming. After another five minutes or so, some materialised. I made sure to get down at the very start of the breakfast period after that! ;-)

Like: I picked it because I was joining the Shamrocker Adventure Tour which departs here. It is too pricey for the facilities. Breakfast ok, cereal and toast, coffee, etc. Dislike: my room is very close to the smoking area. Smoke seeps through our dorm door. Bathroom shower area has a funny curtain that does not block water, so it was flooded evry time someone showers.
