Hotel Indigo KARUIZAWA by IHG, an IHG Hotel

It was quiet yet close to shopping and train station. Lovely place. I wish the restaurant would offer more Japanese meal options for lunch and dinner.

Beautiful hotel & we had a river view room which was lovely! We woke up every morning to see pine trees outside & a glimpse of the stream, simply wonderful. Hotel is not far from the outlet mall & there is a shuttle to bring you there which is convenient as mall is next to train station.

Very good hotel

It was a relaxing and comfortable stay. Hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel lobby has a welcoming and warm fireplace, it was perfect on a cold day. The room was very clean and spacious. If I have to be picky, then there was only a small sofa which very tightly fit two persons. There is a balcony where there are lawn chairs. It was too cold to sit outside. The hotel has separated buildings so to go from your room to the restaurant or lobby or spa, you have to walk outside and it was cold when we went so that was not so nice. If the trip was not in winter, then it is perfect. The breakfast had pretty good selections. I also liked the shuttle service that takes you to the train station from the hotel.

A very tastefully styled property with comfortable rooms and a very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. I also really enjoyed in on-site public bath. There was plenty of parking during my stay. I would return to this property.

The room was a decent size and nicely decorated. The staff was very attentive and responsive. Not much around at a walking distance, but if you rent a car it’s ok. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has different atmosphere and vibe. We had pleasant stay and hopefully we could visit again next time when we visit Karuizawa

Very comfortable, relax and enjoyable trip in Karuizawa

The Indigo Karuizawa was by far, the best hotel we stayed at during our stay in Japan. The grounds were very modern and the rooms were amazingly well designed while being very spacious and quiet. Amazing spot to take a break during your Japan travels.

Luxurious quiet spa destination with the largest most comfortable western-style rooms I’ve ever stayed at in Japan.

During my two-week trip to Japan, one of the most memorable experiences was our stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, An IHG Hotel. The experience was excellent, with warm and welcoming staff. The rooms were spotless and more spacious than others we stayed in. While the location wasn’t as central, with having attractions within walking distance, it was conveniently close to the mall and train station via taxi. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the on-site restaurant, the onsen was a standout feature and a key reason we chose this hotel, despite it being the most expensive of our trip. Out of the six hotels we stayed in, this was definitely one of our favorites, and I highly recommend it.

The hotel staff is great and provided very good service. The room is small and thought it might be in a little better condition and be a little more luxurious as the website seems to be a bit deceiving when booking. If you add breakfast to your rate, it’s really a good breakfast with options, but not a buffet, which was preferred for us, and the food is very good. Good service at the restaurant. Good amenities as far as free coffee/tea for the morning and nice social hour in the evening. Good location as it’s close to Shinjuku Station with subway access and train access. Good shopping just one stop away at Shinjuku Sanchome.

Hotel is beautifully designed: peaceful, zen like, modern and sophisticated. Staff and service excellent. Breakfast buffet was wonderful with wide array of choices. Dinner was outstanding.
