Hotel Vista Nagoya

Renovation works in the lobby, slightly cold staff, not a pleasant area around the hotel - young daughter felt slightly unsafe around the unsavoury characters in Sakae.

Perfectly good hotel for Japanese standards. The area around the hotel is great but it can be a little busy on the weekend

This hotel is surrounded by bar and pub. It’s fine in the day time. When in the night, the surroundings are quite bad with lots of drunk people, cigarette everywhere, dirty floor, people vomit etc. don’t bring a child to live in this area. Choose Sakae South instead, near the Apple Store is far better

I would like to thank an uncle who works in hotel's restaurant, he cooked delicious french toast, eggs for us. Also, he is the most friendly staff in hotel.

Central in Nagoya, close to subway and to shopping and restaurants. Good breakfast restaurant with good Japanese food. As to be expected in the center of Nagoya: there is no 'Vista'.

Place of sink is in the bedroom. It's a strange arrangement. Water easily splash to the desk

The hotel was very clean and had a very modern look to it. The rooms were small but the space was utilized well and it didn't feel cramped. The breakfast was very good as well. The location was a little shady but so long as you don't aim to wonder around that area at night it isn't bad at all. The hotel itself is close to a major road so if you leave and return from that side then you don't really set foot into the shadier areas. All in all I highly recommend if you want to stay at a hotel that is rather nice and not extremely expensive that is pretty accessible when it comes to traveling around by train.

Clean, quiet, easy walk to subway. Rooms are small. Breakfast is a modest but good selection of western and Jaoanese food. The breakfast attendant is particularly welcoming. English-speaking staff, attentive service,

Breakfast is really impressed and the chef is very kind to offer freshly made toast and eggs to each customer with fluent English.

Our room was excellent. We got a double twin room and it was very large by Japan standards, almost as large as a room in the US. Separate toilet, shower/bath, and sink areas. Staff were amazingly attentive and all kinds of things were available for guests, such as phone chargers, irons, western pillows, and umbrellas. Breakfast buffet was a mix of Western and Japanese food and the cook was great. He made us larger French toast pieces and enjoyed practicing his English. The only negative is location- seemingly right between a quiet business district and an area with lots of people loitering amid massage parlors. We never felt unsafe, but it was just odd. Overall I’d still recommend staying here. The stay is worth the odd location. (It’s only 2 blocks to nearest subway)

I stayed here for 2nights with 2 small kids during my stay in Nagoya. I have chosen this hotel by simply price & review & pictures and I must say it was better than I expected. Hotel was possibly too new that taxi driver struggled to find the hotel on navigation by phone number so you better tell the address. On our arrival, kids amenity kit was given for free, room is very compact & obviously Japanese size but spacious bathroom with nice bath tab, very good pillows, air purifier which is huge help to my kids who are not familiar with air conditioning. So I definitely recommend & would stay again if I return. Great value for what you paid. Only bare in mind that area is a nightlife area where all those girls bar & hostess club, health club & Izakaya so with kids not an ideal environment. Saying that we used hotel to just sleep & hotel was very quiet & do not hear anything from outside street. Also 2min walk to nearest station, Huge ドンキホーテnear by which is always fun place to shop. So yes strongly recommend.

Good location, 3 minutes walk to nearby metro. Clean room with automatic water closet. Room is small as common standard in Japan. Staff are friendly and helpful. Credit to them to send our luggage to the room before we enter.
