Lodge Orange Cabin

Wonderful stay. Great value. A short walk to Lake Kawaguchi which offers beautiful views of Mt Fuji.

This lodge was at a decent location with a nice view of Fuji san and not too far from Red Line bus stop #17. It would be more convenient if the free shuttle to/from Kawaguchiko station were available before 3 pm, but the luggage service for our departure was very nice. Rather than go back to Orange Cabin Villa to retrieve our luggage, the hotel staff transferred our luggage to their sister property, Orange Cabin Guest House, which is very close to Kawaguchiko station. So we were able to enjoy our day without having to backtrack just to retrieve our luggage. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. My only disappointment was the lack of soundproofing. Sound traveled very easily from one room to the next, and especially from the common area to my room upstairs. It wasn’t too inconvenient, I simply used my earphones to block out the noise.

Absolutely loved my stay at orange cabins. I appreciated the well equipped kitchen and dining room, the great bathtub, the spacious room and the location of the cabins. Highly recommend if you’re after peace and quiet

It was on the other side of the bridge, so fewer shops and restaurants but closer to hikes etc. Nice staff as usual in this country and clean. Thanks

Left luggage available at the orange cabin (2 min walk) near the Kawaguchiko station. Evening transfer available at 1500, 1630, 1800, 1930, 2100 (Later than the red line bus). Morning transfer available at 0800, 0900, 1000 (Earlier than the red line bus). You can email them for the pickup and drop off. Convinient stores are a bit far. (20 min walk. But they will bring you to the convinient store to pick up food before check in.) You can cook your food and microwave the pack food from the convinient stores. There is no restaurant near by but you can order for food delivery. There is no hotspring nearby. Rooms, bathroom and toilets are clean. Beds are comfortable. You can even see Mount Fuji from the kitchen and the bedroom. Staff are really helpful and friendly. There are toys and little playground for the kids. Location is near the maple corridor.

Very helpful to have the shuttle run. The last time the Orange Cabin pick up from Kawaguchiko station is 9pm. If you miss this you will get a taxi which was a whopping 2700 yen for under 10 minute drive. But apart from that Orange Cabin are extremely helpful and kind and did ‘shuttles’ - effectively free lifts - into Kawaguchiko at my requests. Very clean and shared living area has cracking view of Mt Fiji. Based on my research this was the cheapest single room I could find that has a view of Mount Fiji on the north side of Lake Kawaguchiko and I was thoroughly impressed and happy

Nice hostel but so far from any convenience store or restuarant.

The hotel is confortable, with the cost-effective price. With a simple dinner, you can enjoy the Mt. Fuji with the stars all night. In the morning you can see the biright Fuji with sunlight as well, so touching. Just 15 minutes from the bus station, but it's worhty. I will back one day.

受付の方が優しくて良かったです。喫煙所もあり助かりました。 ただ、シェアハウスなので施設の問題ではないですが、入浴場に髪の毛とかが落ちていてとても気になりました。

木造で暖房がなくても暖かかった。新しい建物で気持ちよかった。仕方がないと思うが、二段ベットの上に何回か頭をぶつけることがあった。柵の木があるので怪我をする人はないのかな？部屋での飲食禁止のマークがドアの上にあり、後で気づいた。

掃興的服務

河口湖オルゴールの森美術館が近く、ほうとうの美味しいもみじ亭も近かったので良かったです。

部屋の掃除が行き届き、外からの富士山の景色が良かったです。

基本は若い人達向けのロッジですが、洗面所の綿棒とかキッチンのペーパーやワインオープナーなど細かいところにも配慮が行き届いていて、気持ちのよい滞在ができました。

充実した設備で、気持ち良く泊まれました。
