Perfect location, just next to subway station, the fame cross is right in front of the hotel, a lot of foods and entertainments nearby, the services were awesome. Great stay! Definitely recommended.

The property entrance was extremely difficult to find -there's no big signage, just a small sign by a glass entrance leading to elevators that take you to the reception. Shibuya station is very busy and with construction it's even more confusing.

Strategic views of Shibuya and the surrounding area, elevators have glass windows to the outside for viewing the scramble crossing. Easy access to shops and restaurants, kind and helpful staff!

i booked a cross view corner room. this is the only purpose i booked this hotel. although the price is high. overall i like the hotel. however, it very difficult to find it if you get of train. it's just impossible to find it since there is no sign or clear direction on how to get to the hotel. I was lucky to find a guard to take us there. hotel is nice, room is clean. however the bathroom is extremely small. Bed and pillows are extra hard which cause back pain after sleep 4 days. but i think this is probably the same in all Japanese hotel. Location to shopping and Hachiko status is walking distance. restaurant on 25 floor is very nice. good food. i would recommend others to stay here.

The location of the hotel is in a very very busy area but very convenient to the Shibuya station. The bathroom and room were very old and small. The bathroom had a bath tub and it made cracking noise when u get in and every time you turn or move. The hotel was hard to find by all our tour guides. We paid too much for a room like this. I don’t think we will stay there again on our next trip.

Hotel is conveniently located next to Shibuya train station, Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Hachi statue, convenient stores, restaurants, and Mark City building with many food and confectionary vendors. Lots of bento box meals Staff (fluent English) are super friendly and helpful. At least one or two staff stand in front of registration area waiting to assist hotel guests. If you need a taxi, they'll arrange one for you, wait is less than 10 minutes. They even escort you to the pick up area. You'll really enjoy the convenient location. Hard to beat.

I was really looking forward to my stay, but I was a bit disappointed that the room didn’t quite match the pictures shown online. It also ended up being more expensive than I originally booked it for—I paid over $400 a night, which felt steep considering the limited amenities provided. The room just didn’t feel worth the price. That said, the view from my room was absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of my stay. Also, the housekeeping team did an excellent job—my room was always spotless and well-kept. I appreciated that level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Overall, it had some great moments, but I expected a bit more for what I paid.

wonderful hotel, easy walk to everywhere, connecting to a subway and a shopping center. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Standard rooms are consider big for the location, clean and full or considering features. The only thing this place could add is more dining and bar options.

The hotel is a large property and has all the amenities that are standard. The room was clean and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable. We were given a room with a view of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, which was a pleasant surprise. The only thing we would have liked, which was not available, is a self-service coffee station (not the instant packets availablein the room). Disappointed that such a beautiful, large facility didn't have something that's found in basic hotels. All in all, a conveniently located, safe and clean hotel.

I had a very disappointing stay at Excel Hotel. The photos and descriptions online were completely misleading. The room was outdated, poorly maintained, and lacked basic cleanliness. The overall condition of the room felt unhygienic and sub-par for the price paid. The service was equally lacking—staff were unresponsive and didn’t address the concerns raised during my stay. What’s worse, this hotel was rated fairly high on Expedia, which clearly wasn’t a reflection of its true condition. It felt like false advertising, and I wouldn’t have booked if I had known what to expect. I strongly urge Expedia to reevaluate how they rate and list hotels on their platform. Customers rely on that information, and in this case, it led to a very poor experience. I won’t be returning and definitely don’t recommend this hotel.
