Krystal Vallarta - All Inclusive

Not as advertised.not as advertised. Resort had two less pools and was smaller than advertised online. Should have been notified of construction

Stayed at this resort after being at the Krystal Grand for 5 days. Krystal Vallarta is so inferior to the Grand. They only had the open air buffet near the pool, for food options. Even though when we checked in we were told there would be other options, we only were able to eat at that one spot. Every time we went to the buffet we were not greeted, even though it was not busy and staff saw us sit down. Id have to wave someone over just to take a drink order. The buffet would open late for its meal service. There wasnt even butter out to put on the buns. No salt and Pepper either. As far as I could tell there was no service at the beach. You had to go get your own drinks. Also, the drinks were not made with real juice. Couldn't even get real orange juice in a mimosa or Lime in a margarita. The listing/website doesnt accurately depict the resort. I much preferred the Krystal Grand. Staff there were very attentive and made sure we had what we needed and wanted. I wont come back to here. It was way over priced for what we got.

There was construction going on which was loud! They were working on something near one pool and thought they could work on it somewhere else away from the pool and people!!

I cannot understand all the bad reviews. For the price, this place checks all the boxes. It’s not a 5 star resort, nor are they charging 5 star prices. The food was plentiful and we filled our bellies at every meal. The staff were friendly and attentive. The facility, room and pools were clean. There were employees everywhere all the time to cater to guests needs and maintain the resort. My kids (7 and 8) loved it. They felt safe, were treated kindly by guests and employees and had the run of the place. We were there on Easter and some of the employees helped me hide eggs for my kids to find in the open grass area. The construction noise was not obnoxious or constant. It’s Mexico- of course there’s construction. If it fits your budget and you want to travel- book it. We could walk to grocery and convenience stores, the cruise terminal… Taxi’s, Ubers, buses are all easy to obtain.

The area was easy access to everything.

I had a great experience in the hotel, From the checking of the hotel and the friendly stuff.

There was major construction going on right next door, very noisy. The resort should have informed us prior to booking. The new bar/resort manager that started a few days ago turned our last few days into better spirits. Very pleasant and professional

They advertise 5 restaurants and only have 2; the food is average, service is extremely slow, building and equipment is in need of many repairs like, phones, air conditioning, walls. Bartenders are snappy, some waiters ignore you. I’m so disappointed.

Staff were amazing! They were helpful, kind, friendly, congenial and gracious. we felt they were there to make our stay a memorable experience for that we are very grateful. The dining room staff made sure we had what we wanted or needed. All in all a wonderful experience. We are sure to return!

Clean, central and very fun. Food and beverage were of good quality and service was great. Beach and pool were great.

We liked everything especially the food.

Nice quiet resort. Small but clean. We arrived at 10 am. The resort will not let you check in until 1 pm, no exceptions. They tell you that you can go across the street to eat or sit in the lobby but no drinks, not by the pool, not by the ocean. This is the first resort I have ever had this happen. I was mad! Then 1 pm came, no ocean view! I yelled about it, gave me another room, nope. Tried again. Told the room is not guaranteed to be ocean view, but somehow, after I complained enough, about 4 pm, I finally was able to get a (partial) ocean view, which I accepted because it also overlooked the pool and I was sick of arguing. After that, things were decent. The pool is big, there is only one, and the pool bar is big but always shaded since it is on the side facing the resort, so it is easy to get a drink at the pool bar in the pool. Food was okay, nice lobby bar with big screen and great ocean view. The area outside of the resort was very nice for walking, convenient for stores. Very safe. The town was artsy and nice. There is a sky bar within the resort which is cool since it overlooks the city and ocean, not open air, but still cool. This was a very laid back and relaxing resort, not much to do, but nice. I do see why this resort was cheap, but I did not hate it.
