ibis Amsterdam City West

Had an overall good experience, easy to get to and from center, airport and train station (by bus or car service). Staff was friendly.

Nice property and not too far from the city good transport links for all areas

Really close to transport links to Centraal, also a nice 15 minute walk to Sloterdijk station. Lovely hotel, will stay again.

Stayed just outside the city good busses remember to check in and also out with your bank card

Odd people wandering about the area, we even had panhandlers come up to us while sitting at tables outside the property asking for money. Others were obviously sizing us up to see if we were gullible (which we are not). Very unpleasant!

Not a terrible hotel, but i have stayed in far better here for less money. There was a horrible smell as you enter the main reception and go towards the lifts. I will not be returning to this hotel

Overall was good, nice room comfortable beds, could have been nice to have better quality towels and an extra set of hand towels. It wasn’t pleasant to find long hairs in the shower floor….. that was an easy way to distinguish that cleaning wasn’t sufficient. Overall- 4

Hotel was okay. Staff were quite rude the whole time we were there, would speak to us like we were stupid and were far from friendly to the point we stopped bothering to ask them questions. The doors were locked past a certain time and a lot of the time when we arrived back we'd be waiting at the door for quite a while with the man just sitting behind the desk not buzzing us in until he was ready. We did not have to check out until 11 however had the cleaner knocking on our door just past 10am so had to leave. No kettle or anything in the room. Transport to/from the hotel was okay, you can either get a bus or there's a train station round the corner, 1 train and a metro gets you to central. Rooms were relatively clean, rather small and very basic but does the job of providing somewhere to sleep as you're out exploring most of the time. Probably would stay elsewhere if we were to return to Amsterdam.

Helpful and efficient staff. Very good facilities and convenient transportation. Only item that could be added is in room coffee as my morning routine includes a cup before getting dressed for the day.

Easy transit to the city center

Rather than staying in Amsterdam city centre this trip I tried the Ibis, about five kilometres out. The room was very clean, comfortable and functional. The staff are amazing looking after all my requests. The bus transportation is excellent leaving from across the street every fifteen minutes ( a little longer at times in the weekend) then only a fifteen minute ride to Amsterdam Centraal. On the return trip the bus stops right in front

A no-frills hotel, that provided a clean room and basic amenities during our stay. Public transport was close by and easy to access. No complaints. Thank you

The staff was very helpful and I would stay again

Decent location on outskirts of centre, easy no.22 bus to central station from outside or metro from nearby station. No tea and coffee making facilities in room a bit of a let down but otherwise all good.

Good for value and decent access to public transportation metro and bus and u can go all over.. Staff are very helpful

Staff weren’t very Informative to assist with first time Amsterdam travellers that didn’t understand the subway/bus routes. They just pointed to the bus stops. The hotel itself was bland and lacked necessities like extra towels and pillows. The room was freezing cold with no extra blankets or heating. Wasn’t surprised by this as we didn’t pay a lot but lacking the bare minimum was disappointing.
