Amazing lovely old building! Nice rooms, bit of street noise early morning but hey the windows are thin and not double glazed. Nice bar, wanted to check out the other bar out the back too but it closed early.

Fantastic location, right in central spot. All the staff from reception to cafe & restaurant to housekeeping were so friendly & helpful. Hotel is lovely, some people might think old, which it is, but thats what we liked about it. Lovely Victoria building. Rooms have be renovated, beds were so comfortable and larger than modern hotels.Bathroom is small but again renovated and shower is so roomy and great water pressure. Wish we had have stayed longer. 2 nights not enough in this lovely hotel & town.

Central location. Clean and lots of parking. Older feel to the hotel as it was a historic building that eas renovated but lots of character.

This hotel promises more than it delivers. The older part of the facility is elegant and potentially charming, but has threadbare carpets and would benefit from a shift in attitude from some staff to become genuinely customer focused. The newer (1960s) part at the back is really pretty basic despite some recent refurbishment - all satisfactory but very basic, and because of this, it is overpriced.

Excellent room, spacious but let down on a hot day by no heatpump. Opened the sash windows onto the fire escape to try to get a draft through the room. Was quite excited to find what could have been a usb charging point but turned out to be an old telephone jack., room 3, the suite would be great in winter, bring a charger
