ibis Rotorua

This was a nice hotel. Our room had a view of the lake and we could see the seaplanes landing. It was a short walk to Eat Street for restaurants. It has reciprocity with Novotel next door that has hot pools, a jacuzzi and a pool. The room and breakfast were good.

We stayed one night and overall it is a good experience. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Property needs renovation

This place is terrible. I don’t know how anyone could rate it above 1. The carpets are at least a decade past acceptable, with tears, burns, spills and general filth throughout. The cleaning staff leaves a lot to be desired, leaving cleaning product film in the sinks and showers and not replacing towels and washcloths. The front desk staff runs hot and cold, with the main female manager during our stay being a bit of a rude one. The breakfast is mediocre and there is obvious mold in the showers and in some of the air vents. I can stand the smell of sulfur from the natural surroundings but that mold in the vents is unacceptable. The parking situation is good as it the proximity to Eat Street, to put a positive spin on it. Seems like Novotel has spent their money on the fancy Novotel next door, leaving this sister property to degrade and fester. Never again at an Ibis

A nice quite enjoyable stay. Just as we expected.

Clean & tidy. Close to restaurants on Eat Street.

I liked the location but felt there should have been more food offerings on site for the price I paid. I guess though this made me explore more of the area. Needs new carpet.

The staff were helpful

We enjoyed our stay, room was small but big enough and comfortable. A couple of issues we raised were dealt with promptly and with a smile. Would stay again.

Hotel location is good.

Ok room. Very squashed. Carpet obviously dirty pathches. Mark on shelf which looked wet but was hard like dried glue or similar.

We had a wonderful nights rest. Breakfast in the morning was a plus.

Great tea ,clean rooms , good Tesla chargers .

Stayed overnight for a planned visit to Hell's Gate. A decent hotel, that was located around the corner from Eat Street. Finding it was easy, and parking was a breeze, so if I were to visit again, I would certainly like to stay again.

Great lake views and desk space to work on laptop from - looking out at lake. Not much floor space in the twin room and the bathroom was basic and compact but everything was very tidy and adequate.

I quite enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Rotorua . Handy location to the lake . Simple but clean , tidy and warm . Staff were friendly and check in easy . I opted for the breakfast which is usual hotel spread but it had been there for a while so the hot food was a bit dried up . Otherwise my stay was great 🙂
