Great location, perfect for a short stay in the lovely city of Oslo. Staff were helpful but we did have to ask twice to have our soap dispensers filled up. Seems standard practice now that rooms aren’t cleaned for 3-4 days

Hotel Staff were friendly and there breakfast had quite a selection.

The property has a nice bar where they serve delicious hamburgers. They breakfast is really good abd the hotel is walking distance/centrally located.

Great location, terrible room design. There was no place for luggage as the (already small) room had uncomfortable “decorations” that made it impossible to settle in comfortably

The room was too cold! But the staff was very helpful and nice. They even offer a “breakfast to go” if your flight leaves earlier and have no time to wait for the opening of the breakfast buffet. Downside: you have to go grab towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. by yourself in the front desk. There is no cleaning service everyday. In general, the location was perfect and the hotel staff was very helpful.

The room was very small indeed, for a short stay and traveling with rucksacks only you could manage. The breakfast was quite impressive, I would enjoy having more pastries though , especially some local ones, there were only small croissants which were very tasty but as I said I would be happy with some Norwegian pastries. The coffee was absolutely horrible, there’s no proper coffee machine at breakfast only their own batch brew coffee which is bad. Other than that the breakfast was really good, plenty of choice with fresh vegetables and fruits. It’s also nice there’s a possibility of having hot tea as there’s a facility for that by the reception. The location of the hotel is perfect and our room was quiet- I asked for a quiet room when booking.

Great location. I was fortunate enough to get help from Hatima at the desk. Who helped me switch to a larger room and also helped several other times throughout the stay.

The hotel was central and convenient but it lacked the comfort giving priority to eco friendliness over guests’ needs. Very cold and indifferent. Somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was good everything else average.

Provide decent sheets, together with blankets and winter quilts for sleeping in the bed (not at all those useless duvets). I make the effort in my house of sleeping without any kind of heating in winter, and that can only be done using several layers in the bed to sleep in. It is unbelievable that while I do that, a hotel in Norway in November does not, and obliges to use heating not to be cold: you ask for blankets and they don't have at all! Use clothes for that! Not energy! This policy is completely against the environment!

It was a birthday trip & on my birthday. The hotel left treats & a birthday note in our room, which was a nice touch. On our last night (thursday) a bar was playing drum & bass until 1am, the bass ran through the whole room, buzzing the walls. Like a too loud stereo in a car (obviously not the hotels fault) but glad we were not saying over a weekend, as I would assume it would mean... no sleep

Comfort Karl Johaan hotel Oslo Staff - customer service- girls who works at the front desk - were above and beyond. I don’t understand the language they helped me with everything, with so much patient. Also THE BEST LOCATION WITH the best price. This is my hotel next time visiting Oslo. The breakfast I would call it KING BREAKFAST.

Very nice room, helpful front desk, nice cafe and bar, excellent breakfast.
