The staff are very friendly. Room is spacious. I love the privacy & the plants & trees around. The plants though need tending & trimming. Sorry to see animals in cages. Pls tend & feed them well

We called the hotel ahead of time that we will have a late check-in(5pm) since my girlfriend is coming from the airport and might experience a heavy traffic. there was a heavy rain when we arrived at the reception area. the lady in the reception is quite kind and accommodating. but when we ask for umbrella she told us to wait for the rain to stop since she doesn't have any umbrella to lend. she gave us password for the internet for us not to be bored. when the rain is tolerable we decided to proceed to our room but when we passed by the restaurant we saw a lot of umbrellas. it made me think that "the lady in reception area is too lazy to coordinate to the restaurant and ask for somebody to fetch us and guide us to our room" the worst part when we ask the restaurant staff if we can borrow one of their umbrella she is bit hesitant until my girlfriend give them a dismay emotion that's the time they allow us to borrow one. then when we ask for the direction to our room since its our first time at malasag eco village, we are expecting somebody to guide us. but we decided to try it on our own since no one from them is willing to guide us. it was very dark and there were no lights a long the way and we do not know which path to go. it was about 15 mins of roaming and we are hungry that time so we decide to go back to the restaurant to clarify and get a clearer direction to our room. when we arrived at the restaurant my girlfriend is so pissed off but in a calm way she approached the cashier to ask for a guide. that's the time somebody volunteer and guide us to our room we ask him why it is very dark he told us the security personnel might forget to turn it on. like what? really? you have booked clients in advance and you have expected guest arrival at that time and no one coordinated the light? but since we are there the only choice is to calm and stick with the purpose "to enjoy". we arrived in our room and we are hungry we called the restaurant for a room service since our room is far from the resto. again so sad that they told us they don't have waiter at that very moment like "OMG! worst ever service..." so again we still don't have a choice but to go to the resto after we unpacked our things. the food is quite good the portion is plentiful and the waiter is friendly to us maybe they understand and know our feelings that time. They also give us a free entertainment (Videoke). in the morning we enjoyed the hanging bridge and the aviary plus we also bought some souvenir in their lumad shop. I might return to the place next time but at least now I'm aware of what service they have. if they can improve it, much better. for us to showcase to other tourist the cagay-anon culture and the beautiful scenic view that will escape you from the city life.
