The property was super clean, neat and uncluttered. The breakfast was really delicious. It was also easy to find.

This is a great apartment. It is small but very clean. It has a shared kitchen on the 2nd floor right above the Subway restaurant. It is close to the Marina and the busy downtown. Many tours available nearby. Great 5 days here.

Very clean and great location. The bad thing was the stairs. If you have allot of luggage it can be difficult.

Fantastic location,location,location on walking street with all kinds of shops, stores, coffee shops, restaurants and bars, walk to almost everything we walked an average of 8000 steps per day (74 and 77 years old). The only negative was the bathroom with slippery shower floor and sometimes bad smell. We stayed for 10 nights and will definitely go back. Thank you so much. Rita and Hans

We arrived very early in the morning and were granted access to the lounge area so that we could store our luggage until check in time. Additionally, since the prior guests left early, we were allowed to check in earlier than expected. This was wonderful for our tired bodies! I had read prior reviews concerning termites, but, thankfully there were no insects of any kind in the facility during our 3day stay. The location is very convenient to the old town of Ponta Delgada. If you need a taxi, there is a taxi stand half a block away. The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean but worn. There is an AC unit for temperature control. The room was spartan in keeping with the low nightly tariff, but the lounge area has kitchen facilities, dishes, cookware, communal refrigerator, a water dispenser and ample seating There is a bar across the street that is noisy on weekends. We were thankful to have found this place on short notice as our previous host canceled three days before our arrival. Communication with this facility host was excellent. The staff were very accommodating.

Very nice experience overall. A trip to the Azores is worth it anyway and staying at the casa das arcadas is a very good choice. I would go there anytime again.

I couldn’t check in I didn’t receive the code to key myself in. Until an hour after booking. I had to book at 9 points across the street

The room was amazing, very comfortable and spacious. Location was fantastic. The challenge was there was some noise during the night from some party people.

Wonderful service! I arrived quite early and they let me store my luggage and let me know when my room was ready. I needed a nap and a shower after traveling so long! Much appreciated Very easy check in and out as all done over phone Nice location just off beaten track so not loud and walkable to all of town. Cool little place with great details like arches and old beams. No view but that wasn't needed. Windows open for fresh air and sound of rain. Nice sized room but small shower and bathroom for Americans. Get used to it. Comfortable bed Microwave and fridge and fileted water available and electric kettle in room.

We arrived at the property after flying from Las Vegas to Boston and from Boston to St Michael Azores. It was about 9:00 pm when we arrivedat the property. They contacted us with a list of instructions and a code to open the door. As we entered, there was a very big staircase and nothing else. We are senior citizens with very heavy luggage. We, somehow managed to carry the luggage up the stairs. There was no one upstairs to tell us our room number or give us a key. The instructions said to call when we arrive. There was no wifi, and no phones that we could see, so calling was impossible. We had no choice but to leave. Most of the hotels were booked. We drove around till 1:00 am an we finally found a hotel that had a vacancy. This was the worst trip ever.

The hotel is right in the city center, just one street from the sea, yet quite. The room was very spacious and comfy, the service perfect and we just loved the picnic basket breakfasts.

Great location, lots of restaurants around. Quick taxi from the airport. Will book here again when visiting. Prompt responses from the staff.

I might have missed it but note there are stairs and no elevators so if you have large luggage, you will need to carry that up yourself potentially up to 1 - 2 floors depending on where your room is. The stairs are sturdy and wide, but may not be for everyone. There is a nice kitchen area shared by everyone, a nice place to sit and have tea or coffee or even cook your dinner. The breakfast basket is left outside your room door and contains everything from dishes, cutlery, yogurt, fruit, cheese/ham/bread/butter, coffee/tea - the whole works! The staff is helpful and responsive on WhatsApp. The only thing I would suggest for them to improve on is the bathroom amenities. There is a pump bottle of hand soap for the sink but they provide a similar thing for the body wash/shampoo in a plastic hanger/holder. For easier use and convenience they should just have these pumps attached to the wall. For the sink had soap, this might free up a bit of space to put a few personal toiletries. The plastic holder is essentially useless as you can't pump the wash easily while inside the holder. I think the housekeeping staff just need to follow a check list of what they need to check for. My friend's room didn't have body wash and they never came with a pump for that up to the time we checked out. Instead the office staff poured it in a cup for her.
