Could not have had a better stay. Our 3 generations of adults and preteens found it equally enjoyable.

Loved that it’s in a vinegar, with access to hotel chain’s own winery and wines. The winery visit was short and very informative. We didn’t do the tasting because we already know the wines, so we just did our own Port tasting at the bar (no tastings available, have to visit the Porto location). Breakfast was delicious and included. The omelette station was great, excellent service. Had dinner both nights at the buffet but one night was great, the next the food was not hot. Otherwise, great property and staff. I would avoid summer, the kids are a bit out of control (they were in the adult pool instead of kid pool), so we only used it once. But the spa was nice and tranquil.

Excellent Hotel and great for kids! We really enjoyed our time here! Great choice of activities, the staff was amazing! A special thank you for the staff of the Restaurant / Snack bar and to the care takers of the horses who made the stay memorable for my 5 year old daughter.

Hotel was good with a great range of activities. Service at lunch could have been better as had to wait a long time. Staff were good but not enough to cope with number of guests. Buffet food was good. Staff were very friendly and range of activities was v good. Rooms were nice but a bit dated.

Shambles. Nice hotel. Nice location. Some nice staff. Some staff runnng round like blue-tailed flies whilst others don't seem to have a clue.
Covid measures fine in some cases, a joke in others.
Being a global traveller, this is NOT a 4-star hotel. The room is not up to scratch (pretty basic and dated). Seemed to be a lot of trainees.
We had a similar experience in Vila Gale in Braga last year but thought we'd try this. Sadly no improvement, which is a shame as we've had a great time at Vila Gale Opera in Lisbon.
Sorry Vila Gale won't be staying with you again.

Superb setting in olive groves and vineyards. Lovely grounds and pools, rooms comfortable and well equipped, though not especially big. Excellent buffet breakfast, evening a la carte menu excellent and great value.Staff very helpful. The Adega tour is very good.

It was a great experience. Traveled with wife and two very young daughters. It was great despite us going in the off-season (mid-November), and were very unlucky with the weather. It would be even better between May-September. Only downside is that it's 25mins away from the nearest (proper) town, which isn't really a problem for many.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight at Vila Gale near Beja. We originally thought of staying over in the town and were reluctant to drive the additional 30 min to the resort - but we were so pleased we did. It is a special place, cannot be compared to a hotel in a city. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the surroundings magnificent; it is truly a country resort. And the breakfast was outstanding.

Somewhere between booking and the hotel my reservation was lost. Fortunately there was a spare room and I took that. Hotel is in a very isolated (and quiet) location, miles from anywhere. Good facilities for sports, nice pool area. Food good too.
