Amazing staff Amazing hotel Only downside- very isolated, can’t walk out without a csr

The hotel is very beautiful, well maintained and the staff are very friendly and accommodating! I would especially like to mention the manager Jiri (George), who was exceptionally nice! There however are some things that I must mention, that should be noted. First of all, there is no air conditioning at this hotel and when it’s a hot day, the room is extremely hot at night! It was very uncomfortable! They did change our room on the second night, because our first room was just above the spa, which made it worse. However, even when moved away from the spa, it was still very hot in the room! The second thing that I felt was not good, was the charge for parking. There is nothing around i.e. businesses or houses, they have their own parking lot with plenty of parking, so I found it to be rather “cheap” of them! Especially considering how expensive the hotel is!! I just felt it was in poor taste to charge for it!

beautiful river view hotel with balcony . Clean and nice staff , also its close to forest and trees which adds to its beauty . They may improve the food and beverages offering.

The hotel and staff is amazing as well as the nature around. The only one minus is a location of hotel close to very busy road. Therefore it was pretty noisy in the room.

The hotel is amazing. Clean and tidy. very big room and balcony. The view from our room was stunning. Right over the river and the forest up above. The bathroom is very big and well equipped. The hotel staff is very kind. The breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel...a gourmet dinner for a very reasonable price. The saunas are great. The Whirlpool is nice but I think the water was not warm enough. I regret not staying there longer than I did. I will definitely go there again

Amazing weekend. This hotel is wonderful. Great staff, location has amazing views, the rooms are very nice and clean. The restaurant has very good food, great breakfast. The spa has fabulous treatments pools and sauna's. The hotel is also a nice choice if you don't want to stay in town. Its just a quick five minute drive..

Hotel location is difficult to find

My partner and I spent 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was very nice and well maintained and the hotel staff was very friendly, especially the day time front desk clerk, I believe her name was Petra. Also, the food in the restaurant was very good both for dinner and breakfast. We really enjoyed our dining experience with Tomas, as he was very friendly, as well as extremely accommodating. The spa was wonderful and the massage therapist as well. We really enjoyed the property and would have given it a 5 rating across the board, the only improvement suggestions would be that our bed/mattress was not comfortable, very hard and seemed to bow in the middle. Also, in the spa, the Jacuzzi tub temperature was very moderate and would have been more enjoyable had the temperature been higher. Otherwise, overall stay was very pleasant.

Excellent service and facilities

My review is not about the hotel as it is excellent (hence our booking two months in advance). The location is very romantic. The hotel condition and facilities are great and the only disadvantage is a tiny gym with not much to do in terms of equipment. The SPA procedures offered are also plenty. That can only be experienced if you are lucky to get there because we nearly missed it despite a long-before booking. Upon arrival a receptionist greets us (and I quote) with: "I have bad news for you". That's not exactly what you want to hear after a long and exhausting road trip. Apparently, there was "a technical problem" in our room and "it was dirty and full of water". Tbh, it looked more like "sorry, guys, we didn't manage our bookings for this Saturday properly". The receptionist assures us that they have booked "another hotel, which is as good as this one and is only 4 km away". We were too tired to argue and taking into consideration the news was delivered by a receptionist and not a manager, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. The hotel we were sent to was of a different price category, needless to say, not as good as the one we booked. The next day they passed on the message that our room in Retro was fixed and they wanted us out by 12. At Retro the check-in time is 2 and our room was not ready. In the end, we get a suite "as a compensation". However, I strongly believe you cant treat customers like dirt and then compensate for it with a fancy bathroom.

This hotel was amazing. It is secluded but its a short drive to town if you need to go. Cant wait for a return trip.

The Retro Resort is only 3 years old - it is very modern and new. Although it is outside Karlovy Vary, we found that a plus to relax away from the typical tourist locations. The spa facilities (except for massages) are all included in the price - pool, jacuzzis, saunas, etc, as is their wonderful breakfast. They also have a very good Italian restaurant so there is no need to go out for dinner in the evenings. Our waiter, Roman, spoke very good English (along with about 4 other languages!).

My wife and I stayed at Wellness Resort on two occasions and we enjoyed both visits. From the time we checked into the hotel and to the time we departed, we had a lovely experience. The staff was amazing and very professional. The amenities the hotel offer such as Spa & Sauna treatment is top of the line. The buffet breakfast that is offered at the hotel is plentiful & it has a variety of assortments. Overall, this is a first rate hotel and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to get some relaxation in a quiet area.

We picked this hotel for our 25th anniversary getaway. The hotel, room, and amenities were great but the bed was a little stiff for my lower back. Overall, our stay was outstanding and I've already recommended this hotel to my friends.

I was at Riverside hotel with my family. My kids loved it. There is a small swimming pool on the ground floor, and there is also a warm spa connected to the swimming pool. I also enjoyed the service there. Also I recommend the massage there. There is a Thai massage therapist, she is really good. My wife also thought she was really good. I will definitely go back there with my family. Only thing I didn't like was the restaurant there. The menu is very limited. I really hope that they have more option. Also I thought the food was generally all quiet sweet.
