Overall a really enjoyable stay in Bucharest. The hotel is impressive in a grand style although out of season a bit understaffed for a 5 star experience. The room was excellent and the complementary fruit basket on arrival was a nice touch. The hotel is well located so it’s easy to walk into town and find restaurants etc. the restaurant at the hotel was good too. I would recommend as an option if staying in Bucharest

Beautiful hotel, clean, well appointed. The Thai massage was excellent, very professional and at a good price. Breakfast was very good and lunch also.

We were disappointed with our stay at the Grand Hotel Continental Bucharest. Hotel looks very dated and tired and certainly didn't reflect the five stars it's supposedly rated.
On our arrival we had an easy with the bathroom, which the hotel team quickly sorted by moving us to another room. The room certainly had an old charm about it and it was very spacious. The bathroom was average. The shower was a shower bath that had poor pressure and poor heating (reception told me that we need to leave it running for a few minutes for it to heat up). For a 5-star place we expected more.
The hotel is in a great location and it's only a short walk to the Old Town and there are heaps of cafes, restaurants and shops around.

stayed at Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed rooms that have an elegant and luxurious feel. However, the air conditioning was terrible—it didn’t cool the room at all, making it quite uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, some of the staff were not very friendly and even laughed at the situation when we mentioned the issue with the air conditioning, which was disappointing. However, Raluca was amazing and went above and beyond to help us with everything. Her professionalism and kindness truly made a difference in our stay.
Overall, the hotel is gorgeous, and thanks to Raluca, we still had a good experience. However, the poor A/C and the unprofessional attitude from certain staff members need improvement. If these issues are addressed, this could be an incredible place to stay.

The property is beautiful like a presidential home however unfortunately i woukd nit rate it a 5 star hotel. On arrival we went to use the spa and were told to come back in 1.5hrs apparently the spa had accepted a local birthday party putting outside gueats before hotel guests. Brought this to the attention of the receptionist Alex who agreed we were totally right and went to speak to the spa but still had to wait just over one hour to use the spa. We were also supposed to have a bottle of wine in the room on arrival and this was not there. Once again we had to followup with the reception and remind them to send this.

Truly enjoyed the fact that I was staying in a 200 year old building that had always been a hotel and had been kept in wonderful condition. Unlike modern hotels my room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect and had easy walking distances to several sites, shopping and restaurants. The front desk staff, the staff during breakfast and the bar staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and very efficient. Anka the evening bar attended was a very lovely woman who offered wonderful suggestions not only in the drinks but also in food selection. Her wonderful smile and friendly personality made you feel welcomed.
