I never stayed in a lodge lie this, all, really all the staff were so friendly and helpful smiling all the time. I was also impressed of their way of thining toward animals, rescuing them from Europe and Australia.

Amazing experience in a "big cat"'sanctuary. The purpose of the facility (to rehabilitate big cats in a natural environment) and the staff are exceptional. Not a luxurious resort but beautiful and best value for cost. Lionsrock is own by the NGO Four Paws which focuses on rehabilitating animals saved from zoos. A must "do" if in South Africa.

Die lodge hat eine super Lage und die Ausfahrt zu den "Katzen" war perfekt! Hier können sie in Ruhe leben ohne missbraucht zu werden!! Es war alles in allem ein sehr schöner u interessanter Aufenthalt! Wir sahen sogar Löwen aus einem Safaripark unserer Heimat die nach einem Überfall auf den Park nicht mehr erhalten werden konnten u gerettet wurden! Leider sind die Tiere aufgrund mangelnder Bewegung alle relativ dick:-(

Ziemlich abseits gelegen mit Anreise über ca. 10 km unbefestigter Zufahrt.
Erst einmal angekommen aber "einfach toll" - insbesondere die Geräuschkulisse mit Löwengebrüll im Hintergrund.
Die sehr großflächige Anlage (Führungen per Jeep werden mehrmals täglich angeboten) gehört der Tierschutzorganisation "vier Pfoten" - jeder Aufenthalt dort trägt somit zum Erhalt der Anlage bei.
Toller Service und sowohl ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, als auch tolles Abendessen.
Ideal zum "entspannten Abtauchen" für einige Tage.
