It is a lovely hotel with great facilities for adults. The check-in was very good and lovely helpful staff. Our junior suite was a great size with a balcony overlooking the pool. We were staying half board and the food especially at breakfast was excellent. There was the opportunity to sit outside on the terrace which was very nice indeed as the views were amazing. The pool area was lovely and we managed to get sun loungers each morning. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return or visit another Meliá hotel.

I liked the reception area and the first impression. The staff generally were very nice and attentive. A couple of staff members could have been more helpful. We resented being ‘told off’ by staff members for sitting in the weong place around the Level pool, for removing the Level refreshments out of the Level area when we were told by reception staff that we could take plastic cups from the pool area and go get a drink from the Level to take back with us. The rules were inonsistent and made no sense some of the time as its all the same hotel so why make it difficult for guests! The refreshments at the Level snacks buffet were not replenished quickly enough and when the milk ran out and I asked for it to be refilled, the member of staff who was restocking the fridge of cold drinks, told me she would finish stocking the fridge and then would get the milk. So she left me standing for quite some time and expected me to wait until she finished. This was not good customer relations. It would have taken her no time to just go grab some milk and then continue with fridge!!!

Had a lovely 7 nights here end of Feb, and very much appreciated the adults-only affair here. Having been converted from a family friendly place, you have the two huge pools, one exclusively for folks that book a Level room (think VIP within the hotel). Turns out at least the Level one is also heated - didn't spot that until we got there! The room's were spacious and spotless, and always topped up as needed. The restaurants were all very nice The food was pretty good (buffet was top notch every night for variety/choice), however the service a bit hit and miss. And ultimately, it's the service that is this place's undoing - even taking into account the slower and more relaxed vibe you get in Spanish countries. When we checked in at the Level's own reception area after an excellent greeting, we were told about the service by the pool, and how everything will be done to look after you. Some days in the restaurants the service was good - repeated top ups of the all inclusive drinks, plates cleared away. A few of the staff were amazing. Mostly though, you'd get your first drink, and never see service again. Often plates wouldnt' be cleared from your table before you left, even if you sat and slowly finished off drinks. The Level lounge was forever with one or two tables stacked with all the empty plates/glasses that everyone had moved themselves. It's such a lovely resort, but the service REALLY needs to step up significantly and consistently.

Where to begin. Nice to have a glass of bubbly on arrival. Once we got to our room we had two single beds pushed togeather- it took housekeeping a long time to rectify this and we had to call reception to chase it. Ordering room service is farcical, staff didn’t speak any English and kept telling us to call reception, who then told us to call room service. Choice of food is very limited and not really suitable for vegetarians. The tray, plates and cutlery were not collected after we finished the meal which was not great. The room itself was very basic and stank of bleach on arrival. It became obvious it was not properly clean as there were hairs everywhere and the floors were filthy (the slippers provided were black underneath by the end of our 4 night stay). Bathroom needs updating and water doesn’t drain and leaks all over the floor. No door on toilet. The safe did not work and the fridge was useless. The cleaners here were very rude. The person cleaning our room seemed very annoyed that we asked for it to be cleaned rather than just giving us towels. She swore in Spanish and told us she was working very hard, as if she was expecting a tip. She also left her dirty cleaning cloth in our room. If you want peace and quiet do not stay here. Our room had no soundproofing and all we could hear were the people next door and upstairs. Noise from the bar went on till late. When we checked out we were not asked how our stay was and it was very impersonal.

For the money we paid which was 4k gbp, it ended up being a below average bed and breakfast. The food was like canteen food in the buffet, the service of the bar staff was poor and slightly rude, for instance the slow particular arrangement of the glasses while a que of guests were waiting for a drink. We stayed on The Level, which was supposedly a more personal service like poolside service and drink service to your patio, we got offered one drink away from the bar in ten days. House keeping was very hit and miss, maybe twice properly in ten days, the towels were very threadbare. The Level breakfast which was all we had included for what we paid had a la carte meals unavailable due to a lack of cream cheese. The meals we did pay for were average if that, we ate off most nights. All in all no value for the money.

This was a 4 night stay 3 adult females celebrating a 60th birthday. Overalll the stay was excellent only a few minor details did not equal the 5 star status. The staff were excellent. The food was good but in the restaurant no dishes were cleared as tables were vacated which was a little disappointing to be taken to a table surrounded by tables of dirty dishes and glasses for the whole of the meal. We opted for a more expensive package and were on the LEVEL tier which afforded a great snack and alcohol package. 3 of us shared effectively a suite with one king size and one pill down bed but all the provisions were for two- two glasses two cups two bath towels- we pointed it out on first day but every. Day was the same- I k ow it seems minor but it has a 5 star rating and it just wasn’t arttention to detail. Some other minor things- the level has its own pool area which is lovely but within that area there is a little part mapped out where you have to pay a further 10 euro per person per day for a bed in that area which is ridiculous. There is a lovely supply of loner lemon flavoured water but it wasn’t topped up - as I said minor but just a bit off putting. It was a lovely holiday venue though
