For the cost, I was incredibly impressed by the condition of the room and even the functionality of the bathroom. When traveling in Taiwan, I'm not often sure what I get when I book a hotel at good price. However, the Hesper was great and I would definitely book there again.

Great location close to THSR station, McDs located below the hotel and 7/11 right next door. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest the room facing the rear but it is without the street view. Friendly staff and great value!

I emailed the hotel a week before arriving to ask some questions and they never got back to me. But at the hotel the staff were actually friendly. The hotel is NOT very near the HSR, you actually have to take the MRT and then walk another 15 min along a road with no pavement (so you are literally walking on the road). Transport aside, it does have a McDonald’s and 7 eleven next to it and a few eateries nearby

Be prepared for walking...despite its name, it is not very close to Taichung HSR station - it is a 7-10min walk on busy roads. The roads are rather dark at night, hence solo/ female/ family travellers or those with alot of luggage may want to take note (otherwise take a cab there). The hotel is in a nice little town WuRi, no touristy stuff here. Have to pay extra for cleaning btw (only stayed 2 days so did not opt for that). Bed is queen size so its small. Service staff are great.

We didn’t get any cleaning for our room during our three day stay here, which was fine by us. However, when we asked the night staff for basic bathroom and coffee stuff that you would normally got when your room got cleaned, the night staff was giving us a hard time and didn’t believe that we were actually out of necessities. The night staff seemed generally cold and wanted to brush us off whenever we needed help...

The staff was really friendly and helpful! One thing to note that has nothing to do with this hotel is that not all places in Taiwan except credit card or if they do it doesn’t communicate with the server so make sure and bring enough cash.

Hotel looks very new and clean. Its location is just a short taxi distance from Taichung HSR station. The hotel is next to McDonald's. A local breakfast place, Morni was nearby. Quadruple room was spacious and amenities were well provided. Bed was comfortable. Front desk service was good and polite.

Because I had to take the early morning high-speed train, I chose the neighboring hotel and I was very satisfied with this hotel. The room is large, clean and quiet. Very close to the high-speed rail station, about 6 minutes by taxi (NT$115). Highly recommended.
