The outside is under construction so you might pass the hotel since the tiny sign comes up pretty quick the entrance is with 3 ft of the sign and the traffic light. Other than that, the hotel was very clean, water pressure very strong, you feel very safe and secure. The hotel is literally walking distance from everything you need including from the beach.

The hotel looked closed when we first drove by. It is covered in dark green cloth because it is in fact under total renovation on the outside. It was only because I parked the car and walked to the front door which was open that we discovered the hotel was indeed open for business. There was no way to know that as one pulled up to the location. Because of the heavy covering on the entire outside of the building, there was no natural light coming into the hotel rooms. Dark and dingy describe it best.
The clerk told us that Expedia expressly does not put this kind of information about the hotel's current renovation status on its website. This is a terrible situation.

The staff has been great throughout our visit. Check in was easy. The outdoor patio in the middle of the hotel is really nice. We walked to the Manhattan Beach Pier from the hotel. It was about a 30 minute walk and I felt comfortable with my 7, 12, and 18 year old sons walking the route. There’s a nice shopping and dining district at the beach. We ate at The Kettle, which was excellent and we could see the ocean from our outdoor table.

The property was nice and well maintained. My room was spacious and cleaned everyday by the staff. The surrounding area had plenty of dining options for any budget. If you stay here I don’t think you’ll find many things to complain about.

This property had the most uncomfortable beds I've ever felt. There was one incredibly rude staff (the rest were amazing) and it was fully under construction for the entirety of the visit. Without warning. Would never come back.

The room was decent and while it had a kitchen with cabinets there was nothing in those cabinets so be sure to bring your own dishes and cutlery. The fitness center was good. The hotel was undergoing exterior renovations during my stay (April 2025)

I stayed here with my son for a tournament and we had a smooth check in and check out. The staff was super nice and accommodating. We were a minute late to breakfast and the staff accommodated my son to quickly get some breakfast. I will stay here again.
