Clarion Inn & Suites Dothan South

this trip was canceled a few days before check-in due to a medical condition. Very upset that the hotel or Hotels.com was not supportive of getting a refund. I also purchased booking insurance and I’m in the process of filing a claim through them to get my refund. Also contacted the hotel personally and they refused refund as well. in the future, I will not book with Hotels.com or this hotel chaine

We arrived and the lock was only the top lock so you don't feel safe. The sheets on the bed were stained a brown color. So we tried to avoid that area. The toilet wouldn't flush. Staff were complaining loudly to someone. TV wouldn't come on. It said it didn't have any service.

This was the worst property we have ever stayed at!! Drug dealing, prostitution, totally UNCLEAN rooms, dirty sheets and pillow cases, Loud and rowdy people around until two am and people checking door knobs at night, I slept with a 9 iron!! Did not get much if any sleep. We checked out after the first night and now trying to get a refund. We moved over to the La Quinta in Dothan, great place wonderful staff, clean comfortable rooms and SAFE!!!

There wasn’t any waste baskets in the room towels had holes in them the floor was filthy beds under the cover had dirt in the beds

One night says it all. Over all cleanliness fair. Up close the furniture didn’t seem to have been dusted. The refrigerator appeared to be stained. Rust looking. The bed placed to high to get in with ease. There was a phone cord but no phone in room. Unable to communicate with hotel staff.

The comforter was stained and the towel where to only one wash rag and hand towel other than that if was ok

The room was dirty! There was a film on all the surfaces. Smelled like a smoking room! Breakfast was terrible! Hard biscuits and cold eggs. Would not recommend this place.

We moved out early due to someone pranking the rooms by knocking on the doors at 3am. Still waiting on a refund.

Checked in, got into my room. There was a tv with no stand leaned against the wall because they couldn’t take 10 min to mount it. Killed about 3 times roaches that were coming from behind AC unit. Could hear the people in the room next to me and there foolery all night long, I’m almost certain they were selling drugs. One of the worst experiences at a hotel I’ve ever had.

Love it there

I complained at front desk about a couple things with no attention given to them other than being told the Inn was under renovation so some things may have not been updated or in the process thereof, Our room had brand new flooring which was nice. My complaints were: coffee condiments & cups were provided in the room but no coffee maker and the toilet seat was very loose & wobbly. Also, of which I didn't complain about was there were absolutely no towel bars in or out of the bathroom, the soap was very old, both bars were crumbling inside the package before even having opened them. On a positive note, the breakfast was fairly decent with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy & waffles, The only complaint there was the sausage was over cooked & dry. The lady overseeing the breakfast was extremely friendly & attentive to the guests.

My first room had two tv that wouldn’t work, the ac was loud and the room was smelly. Room 156 moved to 140. excellent

I’m giving 2 stars because of the room alone. The staff were lovely. Starr was super nice and professional, the lady at breakfast was also very sweet. She made you feel like you are in her personal dining room. But… you get what you pay for. Room was run down. There was something that resembled a balloon in my bed sheets, I hope it was a balloon. Wad of hair behind the bathroom door. Room was very noisy.

The TV didn't work. The fridge froze all my food. None of the ice machines worked.

When we pulled up police were everywhere. There was a fight at the attached bar. We tried to leave, but were denied a refund and there were no other rooms available. Horrible, filthy room. Was told there was no general manager or head of housekeeping to talk to. Tub/shower was disgusting. Furniture missing paint and all scratched up, was dusty and there were crumbs in all the shelves and cabinets that held microwave (which didn’t work) and the mini fridge. Towels had hair (which I hope came from someone’s head) on them. I would give zero stars if it was an option.

I first want to say that I’m grateful we had somewhere to stay as we were evacuating for a hurricane. That aside, I will not evacuate to this hotel again if I can help it. I reserved the hotel on Sunday and our check in was Tuesday. We drove up from Clearwater area in Florida and was on the road for about 7 hours. When I went to check in I was told they needed to get more rooms. Still unsure what exactly that meant. I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes while they checked in other people that got there after me. Finally got the keys and went to the room to find it is in the process of being remodeled. There were paint and spackle spots all over the floor. The door did not have a good seal and you could see light coming in around the entire frame and actually felt damp inside one morning after waking up. No TV remote, glass plate was missing in the microwave, we were given half used toiletries, no tissues and stains all over the chair that was in the room as well as the duvet cover. On top of all that, we were sandwiched between to rooms that were very noisy and the people stood outside our door and carried on their conversations loudly very early in the morning. When I dropped the keys upon check out, the woman at the front desk was dealing with other disgruntled customers because they’re room was incorrect. I would steer clear unless you are desperate for a room.

Tried to check in fleeing a Cat 4 hurricane with family and pets. Had booked two days prior and they said my room was canceled. Hotels.com fortunately called and told them it wasn’t. Finally got the worst room and environment I’ve ever stayed, then they said I needed to leave because they don’t allow pets even though that’s the only reason I booked it. Had to have hotels.com call again. They over charged me from what my reservation was for, but I had no choice and hotels.com said they couldn’t help with that. Literal meth addicts knocked on our door at 2:00 am. We eventually found out they had told several other people the same thing because they had resold our rooms.
