DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown

I’m from Colorado. Had to go to LA for a family member who was needing one of the embassies in LA. When we arrived, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They actually text you a few times to make sure your enjoying your stay bc to see if there’s anything else they can do to make your stay more pleasant. Love that there’s a bar and restaurant inside so you have the option to use those facilities if there’s bad weather and you cannot go out. We are at the restaurant for lunch and the staff and food was exceptional! We ate the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. My family member isn’t fond of salmon but she ordered it to try something different and she cleaned her plate. The only negatives I had: We didn’t want to take our luggage to the embassy, so before we went to lunch, I stopped by the front desk to see if the room we were in was available the next day so I could extend our stay one more day. The front desk attendant said the room was available and to let her know the next day I wanted to extend. I thanked her and walked away. The next day when I texted them to ask to extend, I was told they were all booked. Why don’t the attendant just book my room when I asked in person?! This was really inconvenient for us, but there was nothing I could do at this point and we made it work. The rooms aren’t very sound proof. You will hear the noise from the streets. Overall though, it was a nice stay.

The weather was changeable with wind and cold. The hotel is located in a good place to eat food and visit tourist places. The people are super friendly.

Very much enjoyed this hotel. Friendly accommodating staff and wonderful location.
