Ramada by Wyndham Olympia

Well it’ll probably be a nice place to stay when they are done with renovations but unfortunately that’s not when I stayed there. Apparently I was the first person to stay in this room which probably explains why there was no dead bolt lock, no microwave, no coffee machine, and no window screens. Which goes into my next point, is that the A/C didn’t work. If you turned cool on the heat turned on, and if you turned the heat on well hell itself turned on!! I was forced to sleep with the window open to have any form of comfort but then the bug’s & mosquito came. I asked for a different room and was told none were available but yet about 2 hours later I witnessed another guest being moved due to heat conditions.

Indoor pool/hot tub were broken and was not accessible. Staff said it’s been broke for several months. ice machines were not working, staff didn’t have a back up plan for guests to have ice. We had to go to the convenience store for ice and drinks. Whatever was going on down on the 2nd floor left a horrible chemical smell in my room on the 3rd floor. It smelled like carpet glue. The staff was friendly but were not able to help other than to say “It’s a corporate issue”. The housekeeping did a great job as my room was very clean.

The man at the front desk was lovely and that was the only saving grace. The hotel is under construction, which was never mentioned when I booked my stay. It was filthy with debris all over the floor both in the hallway and in my room. There were lots of construction workers wandering around and the noise was terrible. The room itself was bad - a sofa with foam coming out, chipped furniture, etc. I cancelled for cleanliness and safety reasons and stayed elsewhere.

First of all, we were not made aware the hotel was in the throws of refurbishing the facility until we arrived. Every day there was another issue, starting with no heat or air in our room and ending up with no ice for us to take up to our room. The phone in our room did not work, we had no glasses in our room and we were advised if we wanted our room tidied up, we had to plan ahead and request maid service the day before. Other issues included us paying a nightly visits the font desk nightly. The staff really was trying to help all of us; however, no coffee in the morning dining area was a large problem and some of us joked we should have gone to Fred Meyer and bought the hotel a coffee machine. That night, we wanted ice but the one working ice machine wasn’t working. If it hadn’t been so frustrating, it was almost funny! We have stayed at the Ramada several times in recent years, with no issues. However, this visit was less than good. Had we known they were in the middle of refurbishing the hotel, we would have at least asked questions prior to securing a reservation.

We were disappointed because the pool was down for maintenance. Room was clean except for the dirty washcloth left on the floor in the bathroom. And no coffee maker.

The property was still undergoing renovations to the hallways and room had a "new carpet" smell to it. It wasn't overwhelming and we kind of got used to it. We also only booked for one night. Oh and the pool and hot tub were closed. Beautiful hotel and would probably stay again if we visit the area.

They had construction start at 8 am. They were using jack hammers in the room right above me. And the rent desk girl was very rude

It was a fine stay but the pool doesn’t work the hot tub doesn’t work and the elevator didn’t work and the ice machine on the third floor didn’t work. The tvs hardly worked but almost impossible to find any real channels. Whole second floor is under construction and parts of the ceilings were missing a long the third floor. No coffee machine or cups or blow dryer in the room. I booked this hotel specifically cause of their big pool so my nieces would be entertained and my grandma could chill in the room. They should communicate very clearly on their website and etc. that they are under construction and a lot of the amenities that are available are actually unavailable. I feel like I should’ve paid half the price for the stay at this hotel.

Hotel was close to everything. Went through or going through an update. Service was good breakfast was good. Only complaint was even though downstairs meetinf area was big and comfortable the hotel dodnt allow using remote to watch the tv that was around the fire place. Huge bummer to have friends hanging out with np access to the tv in the lobby. Would I stay agin. Probably but that was the only issue.

We didn’t get to stay because right when we got there she couldn’t check us in because computers were down. Also, pool and hot tub were down and it was not posted on description. When you have kids that’s a big deal. They should have updated hotel description. The hotel otherwise looked nice. And check out was noon which is always nice. We shouldn’t have to call everytime to make sure amenities are all working.

I have stayed at this property for at least 10 years, and it was great. This time, though, the hotel was under construction - so there was construction debris in the elevators and on the hallway floors. I had to switch rooms two different times - because the shower wasn't working and the air conditioning was not communicating with the thermostat, and I needed one to just turn on. The staff was very accommodating, but there were a couple of roaches in my first room, and there was construction dust in the air.

This property is recently refreshed, in fact as I write this floor 2 is off limits because it is being remodelled. My room exceeded my expectations

We went to spend the day using the hot tub and the pool but unfortunately it was closed. The room had recently been updated.
