Richland Riverfront Hotel and Conference Center, Ascend Hotel Collection

All things considered it was a good stay. Only main complaint is that the floor in our room was filthy. Our socks looked like we’d been hiking on a trail somewhere. Fair price, good breakfast and reasonably quiet.

Can’t complain with the decent price, but the conditioning need to update. The noisy from the machine causes to sleep.

Loved the game room but there was a lot of noise at night coming from the pool area.

The hottub was empty and not working. The rooms were clean with no bugs but the mattress basically bent in half from my enormous 185lb body. The pillows were probably the cheapest pillows possible. Great value next to the river with a cool bar attached. The breakfast was really good. The staff was really nice. If they fixed the mattresses it would be nicer but then it would also be more expensive.

Room was average. Bunk beds a plus for kiddos! People next door were super loud all night and the pool is open until 10pm with kids screaming and yelling. Breakfast buffet was average and nothing special. We were in town for a soccer tournament. I would not stay here again.

Hot tub was not working and hotel seemed to need a ton of minor repairs. Room was clean and people were nice. Breakfast was a little low on options but it they did have waffles.

All the Amenities in the hotel were awesome for my 5 kids! The outdoor pool was very cold and jacuzzi was out of service so that’s the down part of our stay! But we loved all the game rooms, playing pool, the sauna was amazing, morning complimentary bike rental was so fun! Beautiful trail/walks along the river! Overall awesome fun time staying at this hotel and area!

Front desk guy charged a made up $150 fee that I did not pay the night before staying in the same exact room. Horrible customer service

Way too expensive for what you get. This place is in need of a serious upgrade. It reminds me of an old roadside motel. Not that the place is falling apart, just needs to be updated. Breakfast was pathetic. Amenities were good. Pool table, game room, shuffleboard and pool were all in good condition. If you are spending this kind of money look elsewhere for a more modern upscale hotel.

We have stayed multiple time. Last 2 times there have been loud people above or outside out room. Beware the $7 resort fee that was not in their policies on line.

Amenities were good for families.

Water was barely warm for half a minute before it went cold. The neighbors alarm clock went off at 3:10 a.m. and 410 a.m. for at least a half an hour each both nights that we were there. So no we did not get much sleep. On the bright side a hot breakfast and good coffee was great both mornings.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful and breakfast was so filling and there were so many options waffles, fruit, pastries, eggs sausage (biscuits and sausage gravey) & yogurt

Shower was extremely hard to regulate .. either super cold or boiling hot .. TV didn't have ESPN ... Went to bar to have a drink .. ordered rum and coke $7.00 with $1.75 added on for the coke .. never saw that before Way overpriced

Staff was friendly, albeit one bartender or barback in the inside restaurant, no smile in sight. We asked if there is table service outside and she said yes, but after watching other tables being served, but no one coming to us, one of our party went inside to inquire again. The waitress said she had no idea we were there, so the bartender obviously didnt bother telling her. The food and drinks were pretty good and the prices were okay. Service was good, once it started. There is a few fast food places and a Winco very nearby the hotel(walking distance). The property itself has a nice area to walk along the river and it looks like there's a gold course adjacent to the property as well. The pool area was nice. Plenty of shady places to sit, a couple pool loungers in a shallow spot in the pool, and plenty of places to sit in the sun for sunbathing. The game room and pool table were also cool amenities, but we didn't use those, so I can't attest to their condition. Complaints: Front desk said my card was declined twice, but my bank HAD approved the purchase and pulled it from my available balance, leaving me out that money the duration of memorial day weekend and throughout the following week. Not the front desk person's fault, I suppose, but he also didn't seem to put in any effort to try and rectify the situation. The shower was also unusable. It fluctuated between ice cold and scalding hot. It didn't stay tolerable for more than 10 seconds at a time!
