Silver Inn Winnemucca

The front desk clerk was very unkept and rude when asked for a reasonable accommodation for a 1st floor. The room was half remodeled and not very clean. The towels and linens are threadbare and old.

The staff said the name changed, no longer Motel 6 and not connected to Hotels.com anymore. So had to sign up locally for a room, the hotels.com reservation wasn't honored.

Was ok in a pinch. Probably would not stay again tho

My reservation was not honored. They were over booked and claimed to no longer be a Motel 6 motel. The place looked dirty. I suggest calling them direct prior to booking

Just needed a room for the night on a long trip - it served its purpose for that. Thankful for a reasonably priced room.

I got there and the clerk said they are no longer a party of Motel 6 and they didn't have any vacancy & wouldn't honor my reservation. Nor would they return the $150 for the reservation.

The motel sold and is no longer a motel 8. Hotels.com should not be listing it

The staff was really friendly and helpful

The beds felt like I was sleeping on the floor, roaches crawlin on counter when we walked in, and then tried to shower and no hot water.

Sucks.

We were there for only one night. Microwave wasn't clean. Didn't realize there wasn't going to be a coffee pot.

We stayed here for Little League All Stars 2025. I paid cash at check in and planned on staying for 6 days but ended up checking out early due to the smell of marajuana coming into the room when other patrons were outside smoking. I checked out early with Bruce at the front desk and since I had checked out early I was due a refund. I was then informed that they did not have the cash on hand and they would put the refund on the card on file. I left and messaged Expedia to resolve this issue. I spoke to 2 different expedia agents and the first one was able to speak to Bruce and he told expedia that they put my refund onto the card I had I file (I have the chat trascripts). I was then told it could take 7-10 days and when nothing was refunded I contacted expedia again and they said they couldnt get ahold of the motel and would keep trying and let me know the outcome through email. The last message I got from expedia is that I was never charged for the reservation and the reservation was cancelled. If you decide to stay here NEVER pay cash, if you leave early you will not be refunded and they will delete the reservation to show you never stayed.

Tourist season caused room rental to skyrocket. The rooms are ok for a night. Bed was comfortable, but the property needs a deep cleaning. My room only had one towel. No was cloth or face towel.

This property offers smoking rooms, which is a big plus. I had a group staying and we had both smokers and non smokers so we could stay at the same hotel. But the sink in the bathroom did not have the handle for the stopper - so it did not drain when using it. And the bathroom fan cover was falling off - should have been fixed. But the price is good, it is a convenient location, the parking is good especially if you have a trailer like we did. I will stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I never leave reviews but this property deserves a review that warns everyone. This property gives off weekly rental vibes (think Siegel suites) where most people there are sitting outside their room on plastic chairs and smoking. The residents were also sitting in the parking lot spots smoking….garbage everywhere. I rented two rooms for my family as we stopped overnight in Winnemucca during a long road trip. Room 1 - stained bed sheets, urine smell, smoke smell that was so thick my eyes watered. Room 2 - smoke smell, the door to the room didn’t shut properly, and there were dead bugs on the sheets as well as stains. We immediately checked out and did not stay the night. As I was checking out another couple did the same thing as me - checked in and saw how disgusting and unsafe this property is, and then immediately checked out. The Best Western down the street was like a palace compared to the Motel 6.

It was quite and close to everything. I room was clean with the exception of the floors. They needed to be moped. This is our 2nd time staying there and if we are able to make it back to Winnemucca we will stay there again.

The room was clean enough but lacked all amenities. There was no coffee pot, hair dryer, microwave, shampoo & conditioner samples. You get a very uncomfortable bed, 2 walmart fiberfil pillows, tiny bar of soap, a tv and one small wooden chair. The smoke detector was missing from my room also. About the only good thing I can really say is the air conditioner worked great. Honestly would not recommend.
